I would hate LeBron to leave my Cavs again, but if this happened it would make it a lot more tolerable for me lol.

I will laugh even harder if these guys get together and still lose by the warriors though.
But it would be a great matchup no doubt

Don't be shocked if Melo gets flipped to Cleveland for Love... Lebron and Anthony have history.... Westbrook and Love have history... however Kanter for Carmello is a deal that works and New York already turned down Love for Carmello.

Westbrook
Roberson
George
Love
Adams

With Felton, Abrines, McDermott, Patterson and Dakari Johnson as the second unit.

Cleveland and OKC are probably go to be in full blown co-conspirator mode to make sure one of them upsets the Warriors.

Dont think its a better fit at all. Lillard and Mccollum dont play a lick of defense and are flat ball hogs. Ive watched a ton of their games and even if crabbe or harkless is open on the wing theyll shoot a contested shot, again thats fine because theyre stars but they dont make up for it on the other end. The thunder if they trade kanter and other pieces for melo have a starting lineup 1-5 discounting melo (he would guard fours which would be easier for him) that is strong considerably on the defensive end and offensive end. On top of that westbrook and george driving and dishing to melo he'd get a ton of easy baskets.

I thought it was Cleveland that tuned down that deal.

Is there anything more to this than Simmons' random speculation about a random association?

It's not like Weaver just arrived in OKC. He's been there seven years and Carmelo never had them on his list.

This all sounds an awful lot like last minute posturing by disseminating disinformation.

Carmelo hasn't been on the trade block for 7 years...

I'd say Melo for Kanter + Abrines + McDermott could happen. It's a clean swap and both sides would be happy enough.

He has been for 7 months.
Weaver's been in OKC the whole time.
Not one mention of them on Carmelo's list.

It just seems odd this would suddenly be the reason why.
Sounds a lot more like last minute politicking to squeeze the most out of a deal.

I will also laugh if Lakers beat the warriors. Lebron going to a city like OKC when he's trying to establish himself business wise and OKC having the cap to take him and all those players- is as likely. We can all dream big

Nasty starting lineup!

The type of lineup that would put fear into the Warriors.

So when the dubs go small... Adams stays in? Or does Anthony's legendary post defense strike fear in us?

What legendary post up big from GS would make OKC care? Roberson or PG are guarding the cupcake.

lol, LeBron is the most popular player/name since Jordan, I think he has no issue establishing himself business wise when he has been doing that from CLE for years.

If we get Terrance Ferguson + Kanter + future 1st. I'll be happy We can include Cortney Lee who would be a good fit next to Westbrook. Provide much needed shooting and defense

Driving in the paint is a lot easier against Melo than it is against Steven Adams. Help defense my friend, I know it's a hard concept for some, but Steven Adams is better than Melo at it. Other examples of things that Melo is significantly worse at: rebounding, mustache growth.

But KD scored 34/39/40 against OKC this year and never even had to played in a 4th quarter against Indiana. Tough to see KD worrying about them at this point.

Want no parts of McDermott. Josh Huestis would be nice though. Kyle O'Quinn is also an option for back up big. They'd need a big man after trading Kanter. Unless they plan on running with Dakari Johnson

Kanter + Furgeson + 1st rounder for Melo + Lee is a solid trade for both sides.

Kanter + Terrance Furgeson + Huestis + 1st rounder for Melo + Lee + Kyle O'Quinn is solid too

OKC can roll with
Westbrook
Courtney Lee/Roberson/Abrines
Paul George/Jerami Grant
Melo/Pattrick Patterson
Adams/Kyle O Quinn

w/

McDermott
Dakari Johnson
Chrinston

off the bench

Pretty good squad for OKC.

As for the Knicks they can rebuild with Frank + Furgeson + Huestis + KP + Willy.

Would be good for both teams

What are you ranting about? His lineup included Adams. Nobody is saying KD is worried about anything, he quit and joined the most stacked team in the league that he couldn't beat. The entire season, barring a bus accident is a foregone conclusion.

I don't doubt they talked, but Melo isn't waiving his NTC for OKC

Afaik it was Cleveland who turned that down, not NYK.
