How is this possibly comparable to TMZ?

This is inside insight regarding the actual basketball team, not off the court stuff.

I imagine if I was a Spurs fan I would want to be informed about something like this.

But there was nothing to the story other than Jalen Rose’s opinion. He read the story about the injury being a strain on the relationship and starts declaring “Kawhi wants out!!!!” and starts listing all kids of reasons not even related to whatever the injury-related strain is...

I understand that, not saying he's a credible source but he is a former NBA player who's been around similar situations. His opinion is not TMZ like to me. It's about basketball.

TMZ has a sports division which also reports baseless rumors. Honestly I'm tired of speculation being branded as legitimate news.

What's stopping ESPN from reporting that Mike Conley wants out of Memphis? SAS could do a segment like "Conley's 30 year's old on a rebuilding team, he's looking to leave and wants out of Memphis!"

Doubt this turns into anything, Spurs know how to take care of their own and patch things over. If he leaves I'd be surprised but it would be cool to see him play with another huge star somewhere.

Damn that’s crazy. Never thought I’d see something like this happening then again with the Kyrie situation, I didn’t see that coming either. If anything I expect Pop and the Spurs to not trade Kawhi even if he demands one. Gotta love nba drama though

Interesting to see the ages of the players in this range. The two Spurs are quite a bit older than anyone else with the closest being Iguodala who is two and four years younger than Parker and Gasol respectively while also being better and less injury prone than either.

This pretty handily encapsulates why Kawhi might not be totally satisfied with the way money is being spent on the Spurs.

What I didn't get with the Gasol extension was, was it even necessary? Couldn't he just opt in and earn around the same as they only used their MLE on Rudy Gay. The Mills contract was also a slightly overpay and 1 year to long. They seriously had a really bad offseason which was unexpected to me as they run things really well.

I think this is likely his agent having issues with RC/Pop using baby gloves with him this year and in turn lowering Kawhi's stock. I highly doubt Kawhi himself would cause any friction .

Please explain to me how Pop **** up the Spurs contention? Did he stick his foot under Kawhi legs or Zaza? Is it his job to sign free agents/make trades or is that on the GM?

The guy is on pace for 19 straight 50 win seasons consistently over-achieving with his roster yet you think the Spurs have a treadmill coming up... SMH

You cant win a title spending 40 millions/years on Gasol and Aldrige. And i'm sure the GM only signed them because Pop asked.

You're acting like the Spurs are doing bad this season, did you know they have the best home record in the league? They're overall a top 5 team without their star player; yet you're acting like Gasol and Aldridge are making them lose games.
