1. Not being snobbish, but saying he has no place when by literally every measure he does is....odd?
2. Wouldn't be calling people for bad takes if I were you.

3. Him averaging over 3X the assists and double rebounds with better defense than Klay would tell me not only does he belong, he's probably better. And Hayward again, leg. If you want to take Horford I wouldn't kill that choice but the others are a no. And saying he "doesn't belong" isn't a reasonable thing to say in the least. That's what's a "PPG take".

1. Yes you are.
2. Your list of #freezingcoldtakes is much longer and worse than mine.
3. Of course he has better stats. He plays on a significantly worse team and has the ball in his hands a lot more. Simmons belongs closer to top 50 than top 25.

Didn't realize a 50 win team missing Embiid for a large part was that bad Also didn't know it effects rebounds or defense. Also didn't know adults used hashtags. Also didn't know how his advanced numbers could e that good (better than Klay). Also

I'm guessing Embiid must be top 5 for you then, since a 50 win team had only one good player.

And no wasn't being snobbish, its objectively a bad take. I have no dog in this fight.

When did I say he wasn’t a good player? And yeah, Embiid is too high on this list as well. But odd that the Celtics somehow won more games than the sixers, dispatched them from the postseason in 5 games without their best player who you think sucks and no other top 20 players. This is embarrassing.

Horford exists, and coaching is a thing. It may be embarrassing, but not for me.

Yeah it couldn’t be that the sixers players aren’t as good as everyone thinks yet. Nope, no way it could be that.

Boston having a deep bench and great coach would seem to undermine what you're selling here. But hey maybe you're right and Philly isn't good, which would seem to indicate Boston probably isn't great either considering that's the best team they could beat .

Like, I literally don't have a dog in this fight and am getting yelled at for of all things saying Ben Simmons belongs in the conversation. What?

Boston ran a 8 man rotation in the playoffs. They didn’t have a deep bench at all because everyone was hurt. Just stop

And those 8 had more quality than the Sixers 8. Unless you really think highly of TJ McConnell and Bellinelli. Just stop.

And again if you're using playoffs to determine this without RS play, then a lot of others really don't belong.

Given this board's infatuation with youth I'd think Simmons would be a runaway winner here, but if we're going with a high end vet role player surely Horford should be higher than Klay, no? He impacts the game to a much greater degree. I'd still go Simmons FWIW.

Dont even waste your time responding to him

There is a certain phenomenon which occurs when people live in a bubble that only confirms their own beliefs. It's truly remarkable to observe.

This. Horford has a solid argument, I went Simmons. But saying Simmons "doesn't belong" is way too far out there.

On Simmons...the guy is a good player no doubt and the sky is the limit. But for this coming season I would take Klay and even Horford over him. He does belong on this list but just because he has a stellar BPM doesn’t make him better than Thompson.

I went Horford. I think he does a lot of things that don't show up on the stat sheet so he's underrated.

Simmons and Klay are next up though.
