This thread should have started with G-League, though my answer would still be the same for G-League.

I would then thank the defender for making me feel like I'm actually useful on the court.

The delusion in this thread is off the charts. No one would score a single point.

I'm young, work out regularly and I'm in amazing cardiovascular shape, I can run up and down the court for 48 minutes no problem, I'd probably beat most if not all NBA players in a marathon/long-distance run. But when it comes to basketball, they're the best of the best who've dedicated their entire life to this craft. Would be an amazing achievement to even get a shot off given how insanely quick NBA close-outs are, the defense could totally ignore me and still prevent me from getting a shot off. On defense, even the worst player in the NBA would score on me every single possession if he wanted to. Most players are also way bigger than me, but that doesn't even matter as even Isaiah would easily toy with me on both ends even though I got the size advantage.

People really underestimate how good even the worst NBA players are, the NBA is an exclusive league where only the best of the best ever get to. Replace one of the Dream Team's Starting 5 with me/random RGM poster and that team goes 0-82 in the NBA season despite having Jordan, Bird, Magic... we are unimaginable liabilities, even playing for just one quarter would be enough to singlehandedly lose our team most games.

I think a friend of mine put it best. When you are young you play for 8 hours and rest for 10 minutes. When you are old you play for 10 minutes, and rest for 8 hours. Although to be honest, even 10 minutes is pushing it anymore.

Bruno Caboclo, physical tools, lacking NBA talent, and after a year in the NBA. In 15-16 when he played 35 minutes in the last game of the season, 3 pts, 1 reb, 1 ast, 1stl, 1 blk, 3 tov, 1/9 FG. That's a 6'9 guy with a ridiculous wingspan, but he was nowhere near the NBA level at that point, but still closer than all, and with NBA physical tools. Awful!

In the G-League in 14-15, 7 games, 3.4 ppg, 1.9 rpg, 29% FG, yup, take that into account when you evaluate yourself playing in an NBA game.

I'd have no problem scoring about 4 points, for the opposite team, before my coach pulled me out when he realized it was intentional after the 2nd one. It's my best shot at scoring in the NBA, I'm going to take it. With 50K people looking at me, i'd probably airball every free throw too.

1. The other team's game plan has to be to leave me completely wide open and put two defenders on our best player
2. Our game plan has to be to give me the unlimited green light every time I touch the ball

If all that happens for 48 minutes, I'm confident I would end the game with 0 points
