To be completely honest, I don't even see potential. There's tons of guys with a small forward frame out there. There's few that have played as poorly as Cam Reddish. He's having a historically poor season for a guy projected to go in the 1st round.

Zion is frighteningly skilled, I have no idea where that take is coming from, even if slightly tongue-in-cheek.

He does have skill but its arguable that those skills would translate less than Barrett or Reddish. Put it this way. Find me the next best PF or even C for that matter outside of Zion? Pick 10? And it's not even a PF its Bol Bol. Then you figure you're not watching an array of post moves, counters, fall aways.....things that traditional PFs do. Ok. Well the NBA has changed right? Ok, is he shooting 3s like the modern day forwards we call stretches? Well recently yes.

So what is he? Hes an overwhelm you with size (in college) and down hill athleticism type of player. In other words his ability is about 85% dt his athletic ability. Skill is everything up to athleticism. Kevin Love is highly skilled.

That said, I'm just throwing out the other argument. If you got it use it and at this level and probably the next hes an athletic freak. Second I did say recently when it comes to those 3s and it's looking promising. Lastly hes got a high motor and gets on himself for mistakes. You just gotta figure he'll put in the work to add more skill to that athleticism so I look forward to a very good NBA career.

But then again, I feel the same way about Barrett. I see all the same flaws the critics do. I just think both of these guys have such an aggresive, high motor and want to win attitude (they make mistakes but it's not motor) that theyll work. Reddish is the one that you just dont know and hes the most skilled one. Doesnt seem to have that level of aggression and need to dominate his opponent. Just rather take the game ad it comes to him.......which is fine and doesnt at all mean he'll suck in the NBA except hes being placed in the top 5. At pick 10 your gladly do it without question.

Aren't all rookies drafted for their potential?

Really? You can't believe that? Some of these guys will fall for anything, even Culver's potential

The sad thing is, that isn't even the worst thing about him attacking the basket. That just shows FG%, he struggles mightily just to get his shot off. I think its safe to say he only gets a shot off around 30% of the time he attacks the basket. And Im not talking only 30% because he attacks it so slow the defense rotates and he has to kick it out. Im talking about when he attacks the basket, 70% of the time he either gets called for a charge, he gets stripped, or he just loses his balances and turns it over.

I have never seen a NBA wing prospect be as bad at attacking the basket than Cam Reddish.

Potential is probably the most important consideration when drafting...
