Feel bad for Kawhi. 95% of the most hated antics that are now drawing him hatred, he wasn't responsible for. Guys like Morris are culture cancers and should never be allowed much influence in any lockerroom.
Not a single iota.
#2 and his group orchestrated a messy departure from the Spurs, planned since 2016, lying about his being misdiagnosed for a year as the reason for the split then using that very diagnosis as the basis for taking games off for the following two seasons and counting; they tried forcing us to trade #2 to LA after not succeeding in trying to force PATFO into trading for PG13 while giving Robertson a FO position / some ownership portion; they tried the same thing with TOR's FO who also didn't bend to the schemes and perk demands; they forced LAC ownership into that trade knowing who they already had on the roster.
#2 chose this. All of it. And was spiteful and petty along the way. Influence on locker rooms comes from good leadership. Teams take on the character of their strongest leaders. And here they are.

This information is readily available, but you're gonna get ignored yet again. Never seen such a blatant instance of collective willful ignorance before. "Wonder what Kawhi did to deserve such ridicule"

Ridiculous.
Tbh I thought I'd be more gracious but after remembering how eager everyone was to blame the Spurs, **** it this pettiness feels too good. Please keep the tweets coming Grey.

. Both sides were at fault

For me, Kawhi's intelligence and BBIQ should really be questioned because of PG13. Like, if he cannot see how big of a black that guy is, something's wrong with him. I get that they're friends, but I have some friends that are lawyers too to whom I'd never delegate to draft a contract I'm supposed to write or to work with me on some legal matters I'm tasked with.
As I said, I feel sorry for the Spurs more than for the Raptors. This guy single handedly took away a few good years from that franchise by acting like an entitled prom queen on her period.

I mean you're talking about the guy who let his Uncle make bad greedy decision after bad greedy decision, went along with everyone and didn't say a peep. It shouldn't have taken PG choking for you to start questioning it.
I'm mostly just glad that the manufactured aura of invincibility is finally torn down. For example, you're beginning to question Kawhi's BBIQ now, when at the time anyone who wasn't blinded by winning bias could see what a ridiculous and entitled demand it was to trade away literally their whole future (what Lebron gets blasted for doing when he has never come close to making a franchise do what the Clips did) for a chance to win alongside PG. It just felt like Kawhi could do no wrong because apparently all he does is win titles except for when he doesn't.
So he smears a reputable franchise's name, makes a destructive demand of another, and deliberately screws yet another over in FA by teasing them till the last minute, and the response is that it's worth it because he guarantees you a title![]()

At least now that the shine has worn off, teams and fans will think twice before just awarding mythical status to guys who are nowhere close to it.

Yeah, everything about his uncle is just bizarre, but I was talking about on court intelligence. That uncle part is another insane thing and it shows that Kawhi actually isn't a nice, silent, humble guy, but rather a coward who hides behind his cousin instead of saying what he really wants.
LeBron traded the Lakers' young players, but trading Lonzo and Ingram the crew for AD is probably smart (we'll see how will that turn out in the end, but so far it looked good), while trading really good young guys and a number of first-round picks for bloody PG is beyond dumb.
