Pels should move the Earth to get Miles Turner. He's perfect for their time table and their personnel.

Kind of weird for Dipo to want out. It‘s because of the small market I guess? Or something I missed?
Turner I kind of get, as he’s overshadowed by Sabas, which they don’t fit together with.

Treadmill playoff team. That’s why. Losing gets old if you getting bounced early in the playoffs.
So when can we expect Ben Simmons and Embiid to ask out?
As soon as this off season. But I suspect they give it one more try. And one of them gets traded in 2021 off season. If it’s not working. It’s not working. Although embiid plus Simmons are great on the floor together. It’s the surround pieces that’s the problem

Very curious if this could be said about any other N. American sport? Or is this exclusive to just the NBA?xxSnEaKyPxx wrote:Prime example of why there is absolutely no reason to follow the NBA if you like a small market team.

I would sign and trade Fred for Oladipo. If Turner really wants to get out of town I would do a double sign and trade of Fred and Serge plus a 1st and a couple 2nds.

Theyre either sign and trading FVV if pacers dont want to lose him for nothing in the offseason, or theyre signing him outright with possibly another star. I was at a raptors coaching clinic 2 years ago while he was injured, and they went on and on about how hes the prototype player they look for in todays NBA

I think there's probably some trust issues there, pertaining to Oladipo's injury and the rehab.

Could be said about MLB as well, which I don't follow. Even in baseball though, its more of a team game, stars are definitely huge, but not on the same level as the NBA.
NFL is full of parity, every year you see decent FAs sign all over. Again, not as star driven of a league either. Stars are always going to be big in sports, but basketball more than others, is a true star league.

Re: Oladipo looking to "move on" from the Pacers
Speculation:
I think it’s a typical case of a player not willing to face reality and accept the fact that he’s not the player he once was. He’s in denial. He saw Sabonis’s role expanding as he became an All-Star in his absence, he saw TJ Warren improving and Brogdon contributing and the conclusion was clear: there’s fewer touches and FGSAs for an inefficient scorer who recently came off a significant injury.
He’s holding onto this delusion that he’s an All-Star and that he deserves more touches when he doesn’t. And he’s now a malcontent because Indiana is not giving him what he feels he deserves when he really doesn’t.
Teams should stay away from this dude imo. Type to put a ceiling on your team.

Think a lot of you guys in here are overrating Oladipo.
He had that 1 great season, but it may be a blip in his career. He was a negative player in the playoffs and he hasn't been the same since his injury.
I don't see him as a piece that pushes a contender over the top.

Agree. Indiana isn’t going to get a ton for him. Maybe a couple mid/late FRPs and some expiring $$ that isn’t too bad.

Re: Oladipo looking to "move on" from the Pacers
Seems they didnt like that coach firing.
Oladipo has been awful since returning from that Big injury. Maybe he is upset WE didnt gave him the extension he wanted but he clearly didnt deserve it based on his play.
Turner IS a good shot blocker/floor spacing Big but he is more of a role player (would be perfect for a dantoni team when i think about it).
I like them but wouldnt be that mad to see them go

Takes like this is why the Knicks and their fans get trashed daily. Also you may not be aware there's a global pandemic on.

I don’t think anyone ‘really wants Dipo ‘ with the way he’s played the past 2 seasons coupled with his reoccurring injury issues. I was always a fan but he’s made his name off of exactly. one high level season 3 years ago. Now he’s just one big huge risk.

I dont get how so many people believe in the raptors, they have zero to chance to win it all.

Was just about to type this. His would fit in there nicely since he can play D unlike most of that team. They have the cap room and since Dipo wants to have a music career anyway he'd probably have no problem resigning in Atlanta.
As for Indy they get a high pick to replace him. Win-win.
