Oh big deal they won some games they ain’t winning **** with Ben as they’re second best player. If I’m a Philadelphia fan I’d be pissed right now just wasting Embiid prime years

I don’t disagree, but from what I been reading lately on Philly, seems they rather keep that duo together. Who knows really. It is what it is. We will see eventually though cause knowing Wall and Cousin’s personalities. That locker room is certainly gonna get to the point where harden gets traded sooner than Rockets would have hoped for

Most reports have been that Simmons was on the table. With the way Simmons has been playing I can't imagine Morey holding on to him if he can get Harden.

Because right now I'd say the Lakers are the clear favorites for this season and the only thing that's going to upset that is a team going all-in with Harden

Denver with Harden is no threat. Their defense is atrocious, and it will be atrocious with or without him. They're not winning anything.

In order for BOS to get Harden, they'll have to give up at least Brown and Smart. A Tatum and Harden duo is no threat to LBJ and AD. Especially once you take into account Boston's lack of depth and their defense being worse because of giving up Brown and Smart. Plus, AD will eat Theis and TT for lunch. We've already seen what Bam did to Theis in the playoffs.

Now, Harden on Philly? That might be a threat. But two things: 1) After their starting lineup their depth is very shaky; 2) the 76ers have to get out of the East first, and MIL and BRK will have something to say.

Harden in Philly with Embiid , Tobias Harris, Curry, Milton and Green will be deadly

All those reports I seen about Ben on the table are the typical “Ben is still up for grabs” reports. From what I been reading for Philly reporters, it seems there’s been no traction between the two but then again who knows really.

He is lowering his trade value to make himself more tradeable. On the other side i wouldnt want that guy on my team for free.
He showed time and time again that basketball is not priority to him. He could have been next great thing if he just tried a bit more.
Don't get me wrong he is still great player but no chance he is winning championship with that attitude...
I just hope brooklyn doesn't bite. They will collapse if they get him in a trade... too much whining on one team

Maybe Denver or Portland?

It's gonna be a harder selling Portland right now. CJ is having a career year while Harden is pouting, being a pretty toxic player in the lockerroom and letting himself get fatter and fatter. As on-board as I was earlier this year with a CJ + stuff for Harden deal, it's admittedly harder to consider given how James has conducted himself through all this. Dame might nix it himself.

Ruling out Porter Jr or CJ for Harden is nothing but posturing. Brown will be on the table as long as Cs only have to give up a couple of FRPs (and not a boatload). Thanks for playing.

It’s not a Ainge type of move but I can see your point

Despite the narrative Ainge has gone big game hunting before, will he be successful though? Who knows.

But he went big for KG and succeeded.

He traded a top 10 pick and an extremely valuable long term signed Jae Crowder (for like 2 mil a year) for the biggest malcontent in the league in Irving with the hopes of going all in on AD trade with his friend convincing him to join and it didn't work out as AD had 0 interest in it. (he also made the same bet getting Ray Allen at the draft and had to spend weeks selling KG on allowing himself to join that crew, so same bet but this time the star didn't change their mind)

After that it looks like all avenues were closed, but Harden is still around. It's hard to imagine a scenario where if he could trade one of Brown or Kemba for Harden he wouldn't be interested in doing so and the owners also signing off on it.

Any combination of Harden/Tatum/ Kemba or Brown is enough talent to contend in the current 2 star environment and those opportunities do not come around often. Also specifically you wouldn't imagine Kemba has a longer self life than Harden so by doing nothing he's wasting Kemba's end of prime years.

I think in the end though HOU is just waiting it out until Ben Simmons is available, it seems like Philly is in the position to give the best package by far.

No one knows for sure but its pretty much "Houston's window closed, trade me to a contender." All reports are that Harden was treated like a king for his whole tenure so its not a personality clash with ownership etc...

I think the Rockets keep Harden, he turns it around and they make the playoffs. He's just expressing frustration over getting blown out twice by the best team in the league.

There is a lot of information and misinformation about this, including from Harden's camp.

I think it's probably one or both of these two things:

The "bad:"
With the change in ownership and management, he is not being given the power/influence he once had, and he doesn't want to play without that power/influence.

The "good:"
With the change in ownership and management, he doesn't believe in the organization's ability to put pieces around him to help him compete for a championship. His prime is nearing its end, and he wants to maximize his shot at a title.

If Nets trade for him, deal is going to have to include Kyrie since Dinwiddie is out. Houston probably doesn’t bite for obvious reasons but if by any chance they would, I am not against it

Shtty owner basically shunned a top 3 GM and coach who catered specifically to Hardens strength's . Basically same reason KD and KG wanted to leave after a while

Harden is a terrible leader who has had a lot of quality players around him but somehow things never worked out. At some point one has to consider some of the blame lies with him. He's obviously very talented, but is he really that different from someone like Kyrie? Kyrie gets a lot of crap for his antics but we saw Kyrie in the Finals, that dude can ball. Harden can play, we know that, but does he really come off as a leader and a winner?
