Duke, just to get your pulse on the issue, what do you think of Zion defensively? Particularly his individual D, I think I have a pretty good gauge on his off-ball stuff. There seems to be a lot going wrong for him at the moment on that end. His footwork seems to be all over the place and ya I dont know if its lack of energy or his size which is preventing him from moving laterally well. Its not hard to find clips of him at Duke getting switched onto PGs and that dude is moving his feet very well and PGs cant get by him.

So the big drop off in not just defensive awareness (should be expected from college to pros) but defensive fundamentals from Duke to now is hard for me to grasp. So I hate to continue to harp about his weight, but that really can be the only thing I can think of. He still doesnt have the stamina or the lateral ability he had at Duke, because of that he is conserving energy or just getting tired, and because of that the footwork and fundamentals kind of go out the window.

Doncic looks like he's hurt, keeps grabbing his leg and walking weirdly. He shouldn't be playing if it's the case. He's been short on most of his shots.

Trae goes from 6 points and 6 assist at the half to 18 and 11 at the end of the 3rd. Good game so far. How about Reddish and Hill on Lebron so far.

I don't get when people say Luka is better this season...

He was far better player last season IMHO... Offensively at least. He was at 30+ PER at first half of the last season.

Far agressive too... This season he looks passive and disinterested. He was far more passionate last season.

Fernando made a lot of subtle, terrible plays in this game. Pretty much an uninterrupted string of low IQ plays for his entire time on the court.
