Y’all don’t really like these players. Maybe you like the sport in general, but the more I read this board the more obvious it becomes that you wish players weren’t people so you could treat them as solely assets.

Super teams aren’t new. And for all the blame Lebron gets for the modern era super team, it was actually Boston with KG and Ray Ray who were the first of this era.

It’s nice to see the Bucks win it all, just so whiny small market fans can stfu. Clearly anybody can win a chip if your front office is competent. Respect to Giannis for getting the biggest bag AND the chip.

I would rather just give Milwaukee the kudos they deserve right now and not make this about anyone else.
I was really happy Giannis and realistically that whole Bucks roster won. Look at their roster, full of blue collar guys that have had to work their ass off without much love.
Hats off to them. That's it, don't care about anyone else and IMO it's a distraction to make it about these other people.

Giannis team has talent but it's the playoffs so do the rest of the teams. Mad respect for Giannis not using a cheat code and winning a legit championship

Khris Middleton. He just put up better numbers than Wade did in the 2012 and 2013 Finals.

Bosh had zero points in game 7 of a finals. Holliday and Middleton can definitely match and surpass his his Miami production.

And Giannis wins a ring with his original team without ever leaving unlike Lebron.

And Giannis's organization did a much better job of finding good players to put around him. I'm a huge hater of the Heatles but LeBron deserved better than what Cleveland was giving him. LeBron led some trash Cavs rosters to places they never should have been.

And it’s not like Milwaukee is much bigger than Cleveland as a market. Both are in the East. So what was Lebron’s excuse?

Middleton is way better than Any of Brons teammates in Cleveland (before Miami)

Giannis had two All-Star caliber players in Kris Middleton and Jrue Holiday. I don't consider them a Super Team though.

He is always going to be loved by the fans from Milwaukee for sticking it out. The Stars that jump around from team to team are not the ones beloved by their fanbases.

In addition, Giannis did it in a so-called small market where not a lot of players usually want to go.

It's great to see and Giannis will forever be a hero in Milwaukee and to their fans.

He had a good team around him. The only "Super Team" this season was Brooklyn. Let's not pretend like Khris Middleton didn't drop 40 points in game 4. He had some help along the way.

He’s not half the player those guys are lmao.. here come the absurd gassing of a player that is the same guy he was last year but just got a lucky break

Lebron James in 8 years:
2 time MVP
0 championships
0-2 in the Finals
7 years with Cavs
1 year with Heat

Giannis in 8 years:
2 time MVP
1 DPOY
1 Championship
1 FMVP
1-0 in the Finals
8 years with the Bucks

Interesting. Giannis seems to be a better trajectory than Lebron, yet he’s somehow not half the player? Interesting argument there.

Still a super team.

And AD was traded to LA. No one nitpicks that. Not Cleveland trading a #1 overall pick for Kevin Love. Teams are built using the draft, free agency, AND trades. The ending result of a super team is debatable, but that wasn’t really my point.

As for the superteam argument, you can call this team however you want, but it wasn't manufactured. Giannis didn't collude with Middleton and Jrue didn't force his way to Milwaukee. By the way Jrue and Midds are great players at their role but let's not act like they are multiple all star/all nba players.

Instead of ''hating'' on this team's accomplishment and talking about how each ring stacks against each other, you should be glad that a small market team, that doesn't attract big name free agents managed to keep it's superstar player, build around him and get a championship. Because if you are a team from a small market it could be your team next

Lebron never showed commitment to Cleveland during his first run and acted with a sense of entitlement. Giannis on the other hand since he joined the NBA had to develop his game, prove himself and grow into the leadership role. Giannis is a much better leader than Lebron was at the same stage.

Or it's the fact that Giannis had a far better supporting cast

When the Cavs lost this game from LeBron you had to know it was never happening in Cleveland with that roster

That too. Lebron didn't have anyone as good as Middleton with him.

This Middleton might be better than the aging Wade from 12 and 13. Let's not discount how big Middleton was during this run. He closed out a lot of big games.

this is a great thread to contribute to.
an IMMENSELY satisfying game for a player who did it the right way.

he didn't run away from adversity. he decided to stay and confront it. i'm just saying what so many have already said and so many will continue to say. i expect this theme will be reiterated over and over again.

giannis just made some of his peers look weak

Bron haters don't talk reason. Not only is Middleton the better, so is Jrue than any first stint LeBron Cavs. Bucks also have a better owner, coach, and front office. But this is not about the praise the Bucks and Giannis should get. It's at the attempt to bash other players. These forum has just become a wasteland to hate on players.

Well, that's why you never give up if you have even half a chance.
This year it was the injuries, but stacked teams fail all the time for any number of reasons. You keep giving it all (no just saying so but really giving it all) and if you get a couple of things go your way, who knows.
That's what Giannis is all about: giving it all. And he got rewarded today.
