The way billionaires use their money is astounding. If Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk put 1/50th of their money together--they could solve a lot of the worlds problems. Why none of them even attempt to and would rather build spaceships is beyond me.

Like..how much money would it cost to build new water pipelines in Flint, MI so they can have clean water. A few hundred million, maybe? Bill Gates could write that check to fund new pipelines and never even feel it. He could also use it as a massive tax write off.
That would be the greatest PR move in history for any of those guys.

Maybe, maybe not. Dan Gilbert has done a lot for the city of Detroit. And nobody acknowledges that when crapping all over him.

Yeah Gilbert is killing it and pledges some ungodly amount of money to clean up some of their neighborhoods.

Gilbert is smart though, he's like the Napoleon of the Midwest. He lets other billionaires fight over expensive ventures and property in CA/TX while he just has his flag planted in Michigan/Ohio.

If he's made $1 billion then imagine how much money he's made for his bosses (NBA, Nike, etc) over the duration of his career....$10 billion? $100 billion?

Too bad he's systemically oppressed. Imagine what he would be making if he had White Privilege®!

This was unnecessary. Moving forward, you'll receive strikes for derailing threads with political commentary.

And it would be just a fraction of what he has earned the NBA, the teams he has played on and the products he has endorsed.

He's going to be joined by a few guys too given the sharp increase in NBA salaries during LeBron's career.

All billionaires are a problem. Need they be named Bezos or Gates, Trump or Sterling, Woods or Jordan, James or Winfrey. Nobody needs that much money and nobody has worked hard enough to justify possessing that money.

We need a wealth tax or more drastic measures, honestly. If you’re championing *any* billionaire for his/her accumulation of massive wealth I think you’ve lost the plot.
Now that's the difference between first and last place.

And all his fans act like they can relate to this guy. Lol

So people are only relatable if they're in the same tax bracket?

How many jobs has Bezos or Gates or X, Y, and Z created?

System issues require government action and culture changes. A few billionaires won’t be able to really do anything,

Good for him. Pretty solid ROI considering his starting circumstances in life.

Lol the original Space Jam sits at a 6.5 there, people have to stop acting like that movie was a Hollywood classic. I liked it at 10 but it has very little re-watch value if you're older than that.
