he should lay low for a while for missing that penalty

The nerve of people calling him the next R9

prime R9 would run circles around Mbappe.

And Dembele.

What a massive waste of money for all those guys who are either overpaid or injury prone.

At least dembele was a big talent when they got him but the Griezmann and Coutinho deals were awful from the get go.

He was a big talent at the time but still very young and unproven. I think it was still a pretty big overpay.

He really hasn't done much to justify his salary since then and isn't good enough to get minutes on the national team.

You guys don't know how was his next contract with Barcelona to try to scam the system?. The two first seasons of the contract he was going to play for Barcelona and after that he was going to play in USA with Barcelona still paying him. He left because Messi has to pay the taxes of all the contract in Spain and for La Liga and tax authorities that's illegal. Well and first of all because Barcelona has a lot of millions of debt and they can't sign him in La Liga until they have the accounts healthy again

He is a washed player since like 2-3 years ago

Tell me you don't know ball without telling me you don't know ball

Messi is a washed compared to what he was that's the reality. And I wish he continue with Barcelona like this last years destroying that team.

102 games 91 goals 47 assists for the last 3 season is insane not even close to washed and will win ballon dor.

Like he made 1000 goals. Football is not about stats. When he was young he made less than a half of those stats and was a 30x better player than now he doesn't have anything of speed like before, doesn't have the danger as a player like before lost a ton on balls during the games. I was enjoying his last years as a Real Madrid fan.

Ballor d'or is a trash trophy now. The people didn't care a **** about this trophy in his moment until all those Ronaldo and Messi fans started to make noise with every trophy they won.

Football. US should change it to handball instead. Or egg catching.
Yep, people should really finally start calling that boring stuff handegg.

I think the only way for him to go is PSG. Which is crazy because you are all thinking Neymar, Mbappe and Messi, but I am thinking they just signed Sergio Ramos, one of the most legendary Real Madrid players in the last decade or so. For one team to sign the captain of both Barcelona and Real Madrid in the same summer, that's insane to me.

By the way PSG has spent quite a lot of money this summer as well. They signed Donnaruma, the MVP of the Euros and Hakimi, probably a top 5 right full back in the world right now from Inter plus Sergio Ramos as a free transfer but I bet he got a big contract and signing bonus as well.

Either way both teams have quite a lot of money to spare but if I am Messi why would I go to Manchester when I can go to Paris?

Ohh so scoring goals is not the point of football?
I thought that your first post reeked of stupidity but this one takes the cake

And he scored 50 goals at 25
46 at 26
43 at 28
That is only in la liga.

But i kinda get it why you are hating so much on him the guy has literally demolished madrid multible times

This is favorite of mine. Reminds me of when the by far best guy came to the field and was passed the ball and just destroyed the other team easily.

Yeah it's so beautiful watch that he still live of goals of a decade before anyways he was much better at 19 when he scored less than a half of those goals than now. The bad thing is that he leave Barcelona when he was destroying Barcelona as a organization.

Stop embarrassing yourself.

Anyway, I'm sure we'll see now in the next few days. If Messi is washed then no big team will offer him a contract, right? Let's see where he ends up: Paris/Manchester, or Qatar?

I'm not surprised, never liked the guy.

Well, he is not in his prime, obviously, so you can call him washed. But you can also make a reasonable argument that he's still the best player in the world.
Barca changed a lot during last years, all the terrible signings, all fishy business. The real slogan changed from Barcelona, mes que un club to Messi, mes que un club.
After Messi is gone they'll be just another football club and will lose tons of fans.

Barcelona will return to the pre 2004 years.
A world class organisation that never wins anything big(champions league).
Dark days are coming and a decade of grief is ahead.
Those of you that support the club, arm yourselves with patience, it will be needed.

As for Lio, we have maybe 2-3 seasons maximum to appreciate his greatness. Wherever he signs.

It's like saying LeBron or Durant would leave the NBA and go to Europe.
Even if a team could afford them (highly unlikely), why would they ever leave the best league in the world?
Same with Messi, what's the point of winning in MLS, when he can still compete in Europe and win the Champions League or the Premier league?

Messi is going nowhere lol

For anyone who follows football, this is a stand off between a firm called CDC (which invested 3.2bln in La Liga) and La Liga themselves. It's basically a money thing, and they're waiting to see who folds first.

Messi is the biggest advertisement in the world, no-one is giving that up for free
