I mean would you really commend someone for their conviction for being a racist? At a certain point the better/bigger thing to do is let go of your conviction and realize it's harmful/admit your wrongs. I.e. vaccine misinformation.
He’s not wrong here. Especially as a relatively young pro athlete, he has no chance is dying from COVID. Much more likely to die of vaccine side effects. And yeah, mainstream news will not tell you this so I expect you believe that isn’t happening.
Even in young people in good health the risk benefit is clear for the vaccine. Tho I wouldn't expect anti vaxers to understand the data. I guess doctors, epidemiologists, pharmacists etcc have been getting their info from mainstream media lol
