i told ya. joel can never defeat jokic it would have easy money. and this was one of joel's best games and jokic's worst in the first half.
Doncic will be goat. Lauri will be his sidekick.

hard to say who had a better game. they were both pretty even. either one of them deserves the mvp.

Please, Jokic has been above Embiid for awhile. Giannis is above Embiid too.

Pretty sure everyone just witnessed Joel outplay Jokic by a wide margin. Jokic got carried by a lineup of four nobodies and Cousins. Alas, Philly will never win anything until they fire Doc Rivers, preferably tonight.

Jokic was a -9. Embiid dominated him. Nuggets won because of Bones Hyland and Doc taking Embiid out twice when he was cooking.

Its still a 2 man race nothing was decided sadly. Jokic couldve put a stamp but he had a horrible start. Denver played better with him sitting and their bench and Bones turning into Steph won them the game

Jokic got the win but Joel outplayed him on both ends by a wide margin. Joel>Jokic

The nuggets looked way better with him on the bench. -9 isn’t a good look in a 3 point win.

Yeah, this game was Will Barton and Bones hitting crazy desperation 3s while George Niang went 2-12 on open shots. Their second unit was all between +10 and +16. Not a fake win or anything but definitely not about Jokic dominating.

Bones Hyland is probably the Nuggets' second best offensive player, which says a lot.

You don't need to use +/- when you watch the game. Embiid did whatever he wanted with Jokic and the Nuggets could only do anything when Jokic went to the bench. 48-14 bench points will do that.

Jokic's teammates do their part but he typically brings it every night. Embiid has more help and yet Jokic still won. It was still a good game and impressive one for Philly since it was a back to back.

Did anyone watch the game and the strategy that Nuggets implemented? They were getting burned by 3's (Sixers 5/7) early by leaving Thybulle so they decided to let Jokic leave Embiid to double Harden on the pick and roll. The help defense would then only hedge until Jokic could recover or partly recover. Malone wanted Embiid to be the one to score but no one else. It's a good strategy and it worked as the Sixers ended up going 7/26 the rest of thew ay from 3.

Loads of denial and rationalizations to cope with the Embiid loss.

Jokic was better overall. I mentioned it in the game thread. His gravity as a passer is too much. Best player on the floor in the 4th when it mattered, baited Embiid into a foul, went at him for the game sealing bucket, and just the superior overall offensive game.

Don't understand how anyone can say Embiid outplayed him unless you look at box scores and scoring.
