Warriors having 2 non shooters in Green and Looney plays right into our defensive scheme.

Hopefully TimeLord is healthy enough as he’ll be playing off ball on Looney with everyone else switching 1-4. That minimises Greens effectiveness to run those dribble hand off picks.

Going to be a great series.

Dubs in 6.

I feel like this finals matchup was inevitable, personally.

I like Boston with regards to the basketball metrics. They have the talent, depth, size to make things really difficult for the Warriors.

The thing I always try to remember with the finals though, which is true exclusively of the finals, is that first time appearance teams sometimes get a deer in the headlights look especially against a team that's been there before. There is more media, more cameras, and just a different kind of vibe and environment that can freeze teams the first time around. If Boston can work through that potential effect, I think they'll be very competitive in this series.

The thing Boston needs to stop doing is having such lapses in play though. As someone else pointed out, Milwaukee without Middleton and Miami don't have near the consistent scoring threats that the Warriors do. Boston needs to be more consistent on both ends from quarter to quarter and game to game.

It wouldn't surprise me to see Boston pull it off, but I'm going Warriors in 6.

This is a very interesting series. On one hand, I can’t really see Boston doing much against golden state based on the fact that they struggled more than they should have against Milwaukee and Miami, both of whom were missing key players throughout their respective series.

On the other hand, Boston matches up ridiculously well with GS. They have an absurd amount of elite and versatile defenders who can defend at the perimeter. And golden state isn’t as big and physical as Miami and Milwaukee. They don’t dominate the boards either. That’s going to, at the very least, prevent these games from being complete blowouts (at least, I hope it will).

Nonetheless, I have to go with the more experienced team here. Golden State in… idk, seven? Let’s go with seven.

They really aren't.

The Warriors have the most talented player in the series and probably depth overall.

Disagree but I don't think your opinion is an absurd take.
IMO Tatum>Curry and I like Boston's top 7-8 better than Golden State but it's close

I've said it before but I really think this is an even series, a true toss up. I'm personally hoping home court advantage will be the difference. The two best teams with tons of depth, it may come down to the role players.

Warriors in 6. Too much talent and experience for Boston to overcome.

Not sure I agree on the talent part but their experience is definitely a big factor here!

My heart says Celtics in 6 or 7.

But my head tells me, that the Warriors are scary and the favorites in this one.

This is definitely the best defense by far the Warriors have faced all post-season. It ll be interesting to see how they adjust to it.

I think Tatum is definitely more talented and Curry is more skilled (especially at 3-point shooting.)

History Repeats Itself

Post#98 » by Wammy Giveaway » Mon May 30, 2022 4:35 am

Celtics vs. Warriors. First time since 1964 that they've faced each other. It'll be their second Finals meeting, fifth overall.

Fifth, because ever since the NBA came to being in the late 1940's, the Warriors were in the east stationed in Philadelphia.

Fifth, because the Warriors were once in the same conference as the Celtics, making them Boston's rival.

Fifth, because every time Warriors drew Celtics, they lost.

By virtue of history, Celtics got this one in the bag. Warriors have to hope that their Death Lineup is as potent as their dynastic run.
