Celtics have only blitzed Curry three times all series. That's mindblowing...I think this might be the game where they get away from the drop coverage and force the other guys to beat them, or at the very least mix up their defensive coverages.

Robert Williams, Otto Porter and Andre Iguodala all listed as questionable.

Need Tatum to summon the mentality of Kobe for this game.

I know it sounds cliche but I think Curry wants so badly to finally win that MVP and be the one to carry his team to a title that I think he finds a way to get 2 more.

Also think the huge Klay game is coming.

He doesn’t have it, at least not consistently. He can certainly be clutch, the game one layup against the Nets was absolutely incredible, and he can catch fire and dominate a game.

But unfortunately he is not an ****, he doesn’t take losing personally and doesn’t feel the need to send the opponent home crying, the way guys like Kobe and Pierce did. Hopefully he becomes like that someday. For now it seems like he’s just too nice.

Klay looks like he’s starting to round into form some. I know it’s usually game 6 but a huge game 5 would a game changer.

The Celtics haven't blitzed pick and rolls much all season and I think they've tried to put off doing so in this series. Not only is it something that they don't typically do, but its kind of the last card they can play to slow Curry down. It's not a silver bullet, the Warriors will probably make some good adjustments to it since blitzing Curry isn't exactly a new strategy. And once they do, that's kind of it. We saw Bud try a bunch of defensive wrinkles in the Bucks-Celtics series, but by the end he was back to their base defense with Giannis and Lopez. There just weren't any other cards to play, so you have to revert to the strategy you can execute best.

thats crazy.... i always felt like adam silver doesnt run the nba, lebron runs the nba.
It's a fair point though, jetlag can zap the legs. Better to have the top athletes as fresh as possible.

Speaking of jet lag, I can vouch for that as I've just returned from vacation in Barcelona and cruising the Mediterranean. I'm still recovering.

So if Boston played perfectly and the Warriors didn’t Boston would be ahead?

Solid point, I cannot dispute that.

100% agree, he doesn't have the mentality. When the going gets tough, he's looking to pass, settle for a long 2/3 or holding the ball way too long until the double comes.

The thing is, Coach Udoka wants him to pass. Reporters have been asking him about Tatum's shooting and Ime could give a bleep about it. He says he wants Tatum focused on playmaking and making the right reads. Pointed out that in our two wins JT had 9 and 13 assists and says that's the winning recipe for the C's.

So basically the kid has the entire internet telling him one thing and his coach telling him the other. His first time in the Finals and has the ball in his hands constantly is essentially playing point guard. And then on top of that he's getting doubled and swarmed by the defense. I think he has a lot in his head and is trying to be everything at once and is still figuring it out. We know he can go off on massive scoring sprees but I'm not sure the team wants him to do that as much as fans do lol.

He's gotta start converting the chippies at the rim though. JT says he wants to play more off two feet instead of looking for fouls. We'll see how it goes tonight.

There is a narrative that the Celtics have absolutely nothing to lose this series because they are young and are guaranteed to be back and win titles and should contend for the next decade.

I don’t fully agree with that. While the Celtics should he good for awhile there are never any guarantees you’ll be back. With player movement the cap career altering injuries etc other teams making moves to become a dominant team windows now aren’t all that long anymore nobodies window is 10 years so once you get to the finals and get this close you want to close the deal.
