Yeah I don't think the Hawks are already making plans to trade for Gobert in 2 years either. I think they would much rather trade for him now.

Why lie about his age lol?

He's 30 in like a week or something. I wasn't that far off. Nor did the discredit anything else I posted.

As a Hawks fan what you think of the Capela, Huerter, 16th pick proposal?

Thank you for the question. If the Hawks couldn't trade for Ayton I would make that trade.

Problems now are that he's 30, is owed A LOT of money over the next 4 years and he's just never shown the ability to punish small ball lineups outside of some offensive rebounds.

Very curious to see how Ainge moves forward with his current hand, knowing that the core has probably reached its ceiling.
very few centers in the league can "punish" Batum or Kleber, if jusing being given the ball in the post and asked to go tk work, without being set up.
Probably only Jokic and Embiid, eveybody else needs at least a great passer setting them up, something the Jazz didn't have

Marcus Morris avg. 11.5 ppg and 4rb to his 12.5 ppg and 11.5 rb in the 2021 second rd. Gobert can be neutralized on both ends, it's just a matter of not matching him up with your Looney/Robert Williams throughout a series.

Morris was starting center for LA when they beat Utah last postseason. He shot nearly 45% threes on 5 att that series. Similarly, Kleber shot nearly 52% from three on 5 att in the recent series vs Utah. Those two are the primary bigs whether by force or choice that logged the most minutes vs Gobert.

They are suppose to be his primary guards. Offensively there is only a point or two a game difference to Gobert against both guys so he can't capitalize enough on that end to really make it advantageous. That's just straight up man defense where he's somewhat exposed, the issue with switching and drop coverage is the real problem at hand going forward.

Edit: Morris shot 33.5% from three on 5 att. However, he did out point Gobert by a point per game that series. Morris is 6-7 barefoot and 225. If all you need is similarly sized players with plus offensive skill to essentially neutralize Gobert why not just acquire a Grant, Wood, etc. to attack him in the postseason.

This could be the perfect pairing as long as the Hawks have DeAndre Hunter to secure the perimeter and he stays healthy.
