Where does Schroder sign?

Most of Schroeder's reputation comes from being a young up and comer in Atlanta, and then having an outlier year from 3 in OKC, when he his 38% on career-high attempts. LA gave up real stuff to bring in Schroeder, only to see his shooting regress to his more normal 33%.

Does anyone think there's value in a scoring small guard who can't shoot 3s? All of his value comes from scoring the basketball, and he doesn't do it efficiently. Going by TS Add, Schroeder's only + efficiency season in his career was that OKC year. It ended up being a fluke, rather than a positive indication of improvement. His passing game is meh outside a bit of drive and kick. He's a bad defender. He's been a negative in terms of on-off every year in the league except for OKC and one year in Atlanta.

You want your team to pay him to come in and provide instant negative impact for your team? Maybe there's a perfect situation for Schroeder out there, but on the off chance that exists, he'll have to take the minimum for that opportunity.

People get way to excited about flash in the pan scorers like Schroder and Jeremy Lin. It's not a valuable type of player.

I think the Timberwolves are the team that should really target him. If Russell plays like crap, Schroder can replace him in the starting lineup, which could be attractive to Schroder so that he can get his value back up.

The Spurs are more than likely going to start Primo and Vassell in the backcourt, with Keldon, Sochan, and Poeltl in the frontcourt. That leaves Tre Jones, Branham, and Wesley to take the rest of the guard minutes

A poor man's erratic Jalen Brunson w/his edge. W/ Dallas culture & defense he can fit in contribute to a playoff team or he can play for or Lottery bound teams. Dallas would be perfect spot to build his resume back up

The other issue is everywhere he's gone he's gotten sideways with teammates. And Dirk who played for 21 seasons against 1000 players has 3 players in the entire league he didn't like: Wade, we all know why, Shawn Bradley(young Dirk didn't like that he wasn't all-in on basketball, and Schroeder. Dirk told the Mavs on multiple occasions, do not bring this guy in, he's bad news.

He is considered simultaneously under a contract and a free agent.

i dont think he's vaccinated so up until this point, i dont think he's eligible to travel into canada without quarantining, i dont think raptors would sign any unvaccinated player until there's confirmation that the canadian feds are lifting that restriction.

Siakam for all intents and purposes played the point for the second half of the year. Barnes is the other option. Banton is going to be very useful. Flynn... still not sure/doubt he makes it.

Doubt the raptors have interest.

I mean sure he made one of the most boneheaded decisions ever but he actually still plays decently well and puts up better numbers than the league average, so I'm sure he'd be a net positive for most teams.

Literally no one wants to pick up Dennis Schröder?

Dude averaged 15/6/4 for the Lakers just two years ago. A decent shooter and pretty good defender. He should easily get $10M a year, I don't understand what's going on here.

My guess is that he's probably looking for a bigger contract than he's being offered from teams.

Dallas should grab him, but they'd need to open up a roster spot for him... so unlikely

My guess is after the trade dust has settled, he finds himself a decent role & salary
