To expand on this, I’ve clowned the Knicks and other teams for years for chasing names. The minute the Knicks sign a good player that isn’t hyped the media says it’s not a big deal. The media takes have become almost as bad as listening to casuals talking around the water cooler (is that still a thing? :lol:

He was an unrestricted free agent so he can sign anywhere he wants to. The Mavs didn't secure him early on which is why they had no shot at keeping him once NY pretty much already laid out the plans to get him. The Knicks hired his dad, a former Knick, as an assistant coach and he has ties to Leon Rose from an early age. Rose is pretty much his godfather. It's not even tampering at that point. The Knicks hired his family. Then made moves to be able to give him his money.

Gotta win the games youre supposed to and they brought Memphis into OT. They've looked good and Brunson is a massive reason for that. He's so composed.

The Knicks still have much to prove as a team, but so far it is obvious that Brunson is exactly what the Knicks needed and he improves the team radically.
