He said superstar, I don't even think people on forums say Kyrie is a superstar

Well, to be fair he's won anything (MVP), but I'm assuming you mean a championship.

...but doesn't everyone basically earn the right by ending up the winner?.

he wouldn't have. Kyrie lit that season on fire, as he has in the past, only this time the house actually burned down cause Harden did feel bothered to bring a bucket of water to put the fire out. Once KD got hurt, within like 2 games Harden was done playing hard.

which is shame because he DID play hard and played hurt the year before.

We do have some great memories of him. The man is special talent and we wish him well.

This is a guy who played FORTY SEVEN MINUTES in an elimination game against Milwaukee with A HAMSTRING TEAR.

Think about that.

he's also the guy that put up 4 points on 2/11 vs the Kings last year. and that wasn't a bad shooting night type of game, it was, i'm not gonna bother playing but i'll play type of game.

he quit last year, noone is accusing him of quitting the year before. yes, he is the guy that played 47 minutes with a hamstring injury, he is also quitter.

3 stars and he was the closest to experience with leading a team. the other two had none

PLEASE.
Harden-KD-Kyrie and supporting cast was an absolute badass, championship roster.

@Lalouie
"he was the closest to experience with leading a team. the other two had none"
KD had recently won two titles as the lead player, dude.

If they were a "badass, championship roster" then BE ANGRY AT KYRIE. HE was the one who put the cyanide in the water supply.

Harden didn't want to drink that water anymore.

that would be all fine if thats what Harden said, but he's not blaming Kyrie, is he. he's blaming the Nets.

Nets fans with all this revisionist history. LOL. There was TONS OF REPUTABLE REPORTING that Harden had had enough of Kyrie's selfish ish...and of KD being TOO MUCH OF A FKN WIMP LEADER to say ANYTHING to get Kyrie to play.

Guy had Kevin freakin Durant. He didn't even need Kyrie.

And you can't blame Kyrie for being a fat piece of **** to start the season. Thats his fault.

Maybe - just maybe - he couldn't do his normal off-season routine after PLAYING FORTY SEVEN MINUTES ON A TORN HAMSTRING IN AN ELIMINATION GAME? How about that? Huh?

And, "fat" or not, dude was playing at an MVP level to start last season. But you know that.

you're posting a lot, but you seem to be very misinformed about the timeline of what happened.

you keep talking about the elimination game, yeah, that was the year before Harden quit. Is that a hard concept to understand? A year went by, and he quit. i'll wait....

2nd, you're confused about when Harden was playing at an MVP level, that was his 1st year with the Nets, when he was traded there. it was not last year and it was before kyrie anti-vax drama. Last year Harden started the year looking AWFUL.

Harden forced his way out of 2 teams in a 13 month period, after forcing the Rockets to trade CP3 for Westbrook, and he violated COVID protocols and reported to strip clubs instead of training camp, and showed up to training camp out of shape.

I’m not a fan of Harden or the Nets. I hope we get a Nets vs. 76ers playoff matchup, but I can’t root for either team.

LMAO.

Having a bad hamstring causes you to get FAT??? Are you kidding me. What a lame excuse.

Bro was partying with Lil Baby in France.

He was not playing at an MVP level to start last season. You are straight LYING.

He was terrible to start last season. KD was carrying him. I watched every game.

MVP level my ass.

Yeah what a stupid article based on a good 8 game stretch. He was then bad again after that. And was horrible to start the season which the article also notes.

Nobody had Harden in the MVP conversation last year. NOBODY.

Look at his averages from last year as a Net. They were one of the worst of his career.

So they did and that's that. The man had a no trade clause in his contract which he used to block some possible trades out. So clearly he didn't just want out of the Lakers, and when it comes down to it. They improved and won.

Harden on the other hand has had multiple great teammates and just can not win period so like I said before, I'm glad he hasn't won anything.

This is utterly wrong mate. Kobe wanted out but wanted to lakers to get fleeced in the process so he could join a stacked team. Specifically, for example, he tried to force his way to the bulls and he prevented the lakers from Getting Deng (who was a prized commodity at the time) so that he could play with him on the bulls but the lakers didn’t succumb to such tactics.

Yeah well I think you're utterly wrong about that Bulls team being stacked with him included. A really good team? sure, but not stacked. I do not think Kobe ever actually wanted to out but was simply using his no trade clause to his advantage to get them to do better or yes. By all means send him away if they could not do so.

He did want out it is a known fact by everyone that followed the story. Again, he wanted the lakers to get fleeced so he’d have a better team and that’s the basis on which he used the no trade clause, another fact.

What you think contradicts what actually happened.

I don't normally join pile on for these sorts of things. But this guy is so far gone he believes the things he is saying....

A supposed leader paid hundreds of millions complaining about structure, a supposed leader complaining about body maintenence after showing up to the franchise out of shape and subsequently struggling with injury for the remainder of his time. You can't make this stuff up surely ?

Someone earlier gave us the classic 'what lies did he tell', the retort to that is clearly what 'facts did he give', the answer is clearly none amongst an indulgent interview prompted at an opportune time by his publicist.

I hope people can see that for what it is...

The reality is the 3 stars cobbled themselves and expected a ready meal championship, they did nothing to sacrifice individually or incrementally the build upon the teams situation, instead they retreated within each of themselves in a shocking (or not so shocking) lack of resilience. The results speak for themselves, much more than a puff piece.

one of the reasons why westbrook was disgruntled with houston was HARDEN had no structure,,,,always clubbing.

now, to be fair westbrook lived on precise structure & regimen, maybe more than your normal player, but nonetheless we all know harden liked the good life

Did he quit? Of course he did. He never signed a long term contract and used that as leverage to get out. The organization lacked accountability as evidenced by playing a whopping 16 games with the 3 stars on the floor. Harden is looking for a chip, but he’s not fooling anyone with that “did I quit” question. Durant almost quit but he signed that 4 year contract when the others didn’t. Kyrie would be gone too if he had any trade value left. Teams can trade players during the season but high profile players have to quit if they want to be traded by the deadline. He’s not the first one to do it, won’t be the last. Some of them don’t even play when they want out.
