I've made some HARD decisions regarding 2k24.
For the first time ever, I'm not going to put MJ in MyLeague.

Instead I am putting SHAQ in MyLeague, and I'm drafting him into my Bulls and making this line-up:
c. Shaq
pf. Wembanyama
sf. Brandon Miller
sg. ??
pg. ??
And bare in mind, SHAQ is the only retired player in the fantasy draft. All the other players are currently in the NBA.

In addition to playing that, I'm also going to play the Era Mode, and it will be The Jordan Era.
So I'll be playing as Michael Jordan's Bulls in 1984 onwards....

I've only played MyLeague, have never played any of the other modes :sleep3:

I feel like your missing out the other modes are just as great.

I've never played the ERAs mode before, so not sure how it works.
Doesn't it let you start with MJ in the Bulls?
Or if it starts with the draft will I still be able to draft MJ or will Houston or Portland get him?

Why is the early 2000's called 'the Kobe era'? He wasn't even the best player on his team, let alone in the league.

As for will I buy it? No, I'll download it when it is released for free on the PS network.

Because Kobe won 5 championships and died.
It could have been called the Duncan era if Kobe didn't die.
But I'll always consider it the Shaq era.

I know you're not FORCED to buy VC but the reality is that if you want to be competitive you have to because the grind to even get to 80 is stupidly slow. It sucks but I would begrudgingly buy VC.

Once they introduced the $180.00 season pass ($20.00 X 9 seasons) I knew I was out. At some point I have to draw the line and paying $300+ a year to play 2K was not for me. 2K should be a free to play game because of the micro-transactions. It is like a restaurant charging you $100.00 just to get in the door then charging you an additional $250.00 for the food.

I can totally understand your point of view, if I was spending that kind of money, I would really re-consider not getting it as a day 1 release as well, I always enjoyed myplayer/mypark mode even if I wasn't maxing everything out asap. I know I would not be able to complete with the top notch guys unless I play day/night or pony up the cash to upgrade, it is underwhelming but it's better then spending extra cash you need for more important things. As long people are buying tp upgrade as soon as possible 2k will continue to milk the system as any company should.

So I'm playing TWO different modes at the same time.
I'm playing MyLeague - Shaq's Bulls in 2023-24.
And I'm playing ERAs - Jordan's Bulls in 1984-85.

You start the season in 83/84, and at the end of the season, based on your record & the lottery balls you will get a draft pick for the 1984 draft but your, always welcome to sim until the trading deadline to get a few more first round picks or wait until draft night and do as please to get your chance draft Jordan to the Bulls.

I'm a PC player and the fact we won't get the most current version of the game makes for a hard no.

Oh I see but that's just an example , Lakers being 1 - 0 on January 6 1984, what made you think you can draft Jordan straight to the Bulls based on this picture.

It really does suck, but they are doing this on purpose to the pc community.

I won't ask why there is not a "no" option to vote for. I will ask why there is not a "hell, no" option, however.
