Never said Jrue is not great/elite at defending 2-5 as well.

Jrue is the better player overall by a large margin, but Marcus Smart is the better defender- even if it isnt by too much. It's pretty close, but Marcus is the better defender by a bit. Jrue is the better overall player because his offense is light years above Marcus' offense.

Half the league has said Jrue is the best defender in the league and I've never seen a single player say that about Smart.

I'd never heard Durant say it and I'd never heard anyone else say it. I mean since this post I heard that he was polled by GMs as the best guard defender in the NBA, so there is some truth to it I guess. I don't think he's better than Smart. I mean I think they are basically equal defensively. Offensively Jrue is on another stratosphere.

In full disclosure I had to remember which one of them is currently on my team before voting.

As a bystander I see Smart and I think Celtics , I see Jrue and I think Bucks , maybe it’s to fresh

but rather Smart will remain a Celtic in my mind
