If I had to guess, I imagine the Pacers would like to sign Pascal to an extension right away under the current cap room before the spike in the next couple of years. Brown and TJ McConnell should be enough. Pretty rounded-out lineup for the Pacers.

I like it for Toronto. Gives Scottie Barnes a chance to run the 4-spot, get Brown as the utility 3/4 and more minutes to see if Gradey Dick can get some burn. I imagine they'll try to flip McConnell to a playoff team who could use him off the bench, like Phoenix,

Gradey dick is epic trash as of right now. I really really pray to God he turns around his career (sweet kid), but he is nowhere near getting minutes in the league right now.

When the Magic traded Vuc to the Bulls, I'm sure the Bulls weren't thinking those picks would be lotto picks.
When the Rockets traded Harden to the Nets, I'm sure the Nets didn't think they could potentially be giving up lotto picks.
There are countless other examples, I'm sure.
All it takes is one injury or the roster not meshing for it to become an amazing deal for the Raptors.
This seems like highway robbery for Toronto. Take those picks and move them to another team if you want.

That said, it's weird for this much detail to leak on a deal that's not pretty much agreed to so I have my doubts that it actually happens.

The Raptors and Pacers are actively engaged in trade talks centered around two-time All-Star forward Pascal Siakam that would send him to Indiana for a package that includes Bruce Brown Jr., other salaries and three first-round draft picks, league sources tell The Athletic.

The Raptors have been engaged in discussions with several teams on a potential Siakam deal, but conversations with the Pacers have gained steam in recent days, those sources say. No way Toronto would trade their best all around player in Siakam for a role player you overpaid assuming he can stop anyone and now you want to dump him to Canada Lol.

Siakam would cost them Mathurin and Walker cause they are NOT interested in your non lottery draft picks otherwise they could have gotten a boatload from the Knicks but wanted IQ instead.
