Bad deal for Indy. Non floor spacers next to hali equals death. Markanan is a better target for them

Siakam is going to be washed within 2 years. If the raps make this trade it will be a fleecing of epic proportions

I don't like it for the Raptors. 3 picks in the what? 20's or late teens? The heck you gonnna do with that? Since 2017 (OG drafted) we've had one hit (Scottie) and a bunch of trash.

Dewan Hernandez (59),
Malachi Flynn (29th),
Jalen Harris (59),
Scottie B,
Dalano Banton (46),
David Johnson (47),
Christian Koloko(33),
Gradey Dick (13).

Yes a lot where second round picks, but a these picks aren't high draft picks either. I'd hang up the phone if it isn't Mathurin, i'm sure Warriors or Kings will get desperate. Maybe even another dark horse team.

I like it for Toronto. Gives Scottie Barnes a chance to run the 4-spot, get Brown as the utility 3/4 and more minutes to see if Gradey Dick can get some burn. I imagine they'll try to flip McConnell to a playoff team who could use him off the bench, like Phoenix,

Gradey dick is epic trash as of right now. I really really pray to God he turns around his career (sweet kid), but he is nowhere near getting minutes in the league right now.

When the Magic traded Vuc to the Bulls, I'm sure the Bulls weren't thinking those picks would be lotto picks.
When the Rockets traded Harden to the Nets, I'm sure the Nets didn't think they could potentially be giving up lotto picks.
There are countless other examples, I'm sure.
All it takes is one injury or the roster not meshing for it to become an amazing deal for the Raptors.
This seems like highway robbery for Toronto. Take those picks and move them to another team if you want.

That said, it's weird for this much detail to leak on a deal that's not pretty much agreed to so I have my doubts that it actually happens.

YES

Indy will reroute Bruce Brown back to Brooklyn

Brooklyn sends Ben Simmons to Toronto and give them 1 FRP

Everybody is happy

Indy gets Siakam and saves 1 FRP

Brooklyn gets our boy back in Brown

Toronto gets an AllStar in Ben Simmons

:D

I'll do it only if I add Scottie barnes to the deal going to BRK

Deal but add 1 FRP

The Raptors and Pacers are actively engaged in trade talks centered around two-time All-Star forward Pascal Siakam that would send him to Indiana for a package that includes Bruce Brown Jr., other salaries and three first-round draft picks, league sources tell The Athletic.

The Raptors have been engaged in discussions with several teams on a potential Siakam deal, but conversations with the Pacers have gained steam in recent days, those sources say. Sources briefed on the talks between the two teams say that there have been several back-and-forth proposals made. While the two sides have been described as being far along in the process, according to those sources, they have yet to finalize or agree to a deal.

No way Toronto would trade their best all around player in Siakam for a role player you overpaid assuming he can stop anyone and now you want to dump him to Canada Lol.

Siakam would cost them Mathurin and Walker cause they are NOT interested in your non lottery draft picks otherwise they could have gotten a boatload from the Knicks but wanted IQ instead.

Gradey can't play in a country where he gets high without trying.

Basically all the Pacers rotation players can hit the 3 except for TJ McConnell and Isaiah Jackson. Those guys likely don't share the floor with Siakam anyway. Hali himself is deadly off the ball.

I agree. Indiana, please trade with Blazers for Jeremy Grant. He can shoot and play the SF spot which is his natural position.

Siakam is what, the 30th or so best player in the league? Plus he's on an expiring. Seems like fine value to me.

Indy is a dumb team , right when they starting to gain momentum and they’re maybe one solid piece or two from contention they gonna trade for Siakam

Some teams never learn

Two years from now they will be in the same boat when Hali ask to be traded
