Bron guys had another bad day and have to take it out on everyone else

Funny how Bron stans haven't posted one legitimate statistical evidence of why Curry doesn't deserve this year's CPOTY. They bring up either cherry picked stats from the playoffs from PREVIOUS SEASONS in determining THIS SEASON'S award which is for REGULAR SEASON only. Or bring up team record with no context and completely ignoring the fact that his teammates **** the bed in the clutch.

But God forbid, you mention rings or MVPs against him in the GOAT debate, then suddenly context and team quality matters. Hilarious bunch of hypocrites not even worth engaging with

This is the dumbest award in the NBA.

Jerry Maine wrote:"Curry’s 10 game-winning shots – within five seconds of the fourth-quarter or overtime buzzer – over the last 10 years are tops in the NBA."

In the midst of the playoffs, someone went all out for this article. I respect how much some media members love that guy. Its amazing, actually.

Missing the playoffs isn’t clutch.

Dumb award. But West was Mr Clutch for a reason. The guy stepped his game up on the biggest stages time and time again. I'm glad the league didn't dumb down their awards by putting some "Rangz" players there over someone who truly was an all time clutch player.

So this is an award where voters just glanced at some stats, were relieved that a big name looked decent, and didn't bother with any real context? Fine.

Not sure why they won’t do an offensive player of the year instead of this award.

That's pretty much all the awards minus maybe maybe MVP. But this one just seems unneeded. They just wanted an award for Jerry West to have his name on. That's legit the only reason they made this. And whatever.

It's a dumb award.

Bill Simmons actually had a pretty good idea for replacing this award. Have them vote on the most compelling player to watch. He tentatively called in the League Pass award. This year, the nominees would be guys like Wemby, Anthony Edwards, Zion, maybe Curry and Brunson?

Funny how nobody complained once last year when they should have cause it was the inaugural award but the moment #30 wins it, suddenly it shouldn't have existed. At least stay consistent y'all

So there’s this thing about this award being superfluous, considering it is a regular season award as you mentioned. Thanks for proving my point again.

It’s the 2nd time this award has been forcefully imposed to appease to you curry glazers. Perhaps look up the definition of what clutch means before you call someone else clueless.

https://youtu.be/MvtYUcbenCU?si=9vipvEOTpVy8GwBA

Does this look like it to you?

It’s a dumb superfluous award because it’s given to the treadmill teams who can’t close out games or are always trailing, and their star player playing in the most “clutch” scenario minutes. For the fkn regular season lmao, who tf cares when they can’t even make the playoffs or win a play-in. I’ll take Lillard any day of the week for the last shot over Curry. Criminal that this isn’t called the DeMar DeRozan award.

My point is, make this a playoffs award, if it’s even necessary.
