There are still quite a few Warriors fans who think we should have drafted LaMelo, and in that universe he would have played better than Poole in 2022, still won a title, and Draymond didn't punch anyone in 2023, and we are still in the WCF this season.

Hopefully there's video recording somewhere outside the parking building to make things clear. did the kid rushed the car or did Lamelo drive off right after talking to the kid.
Yeah look. I'm not here to defend Melo. The kid is a complete idiot off the court, he drives like a clown, everything signifies that he's an immature kid.
I will say though - for someone to get close enough to a car where their foot is right by their wheel, they've basically got to be inside the car. It's not easy for you to get your foot that close to a wheel.
CDM_Stats wrote:MemphisX wrote:CDM_Stats wrote:The fact that this got to the lawsuit stage says a lot
If the kid is a fan, something like paying medical bills, a meet and greet, maybe getting some other Hornets swag, and this all goes away and maybe is even a feel good story. Whoever is on LaMelo's team, agent/PR wise, sure dropped the ball big time
Y'all really underestimating who the parents of this kid are. Why is your 11-year-old running up to moving vehicles in the middle of the night? Why is LaMelo who likely never saw the kid, more responsible than the parents? Also, some "parents" use their kids as a ticket for a pay day and have likely been setting this up for awhile.
Incident happened months ago. They are only suing because they couldn’t get information from Ball re:insurance
But are you suggesting the parents of a kid had their kid get his foot run over intentionally?
DusterBuster wrote:LaMelo is absolutely spoiled, the whole Ball family is. They're all self-entitled and act like no rules apply to them and have some major arrested development.
Charlotte should move LaMelo while he still has some value. Build around Miller.

People have done more for less. Why would you have your 11-year-old running up to a moving car?

He would've had to speed off pretty quickly for the kid to not have time to get out of the way. A slow roll before accelerating would've prevented this from happening. Until there is actual video we can't say for sure.

Police report said minor scrape, nothing about any foot or back injuries. This is a lame extortion attempt that you guys should feel dumb falling for. LaMelo and the Hornets have been down bad for a while so I get that’s it’s easy to kick them but this is stupid
