It’s crazy how much THJ and Exum have fallen from their peak regular season form. Injuries mostly to blame.

Exum brought a nice tempo to the game, which would be nice to have against the Cs.

I love how prior to the series it was "Dallas has an amazing defense!! it's just not shown in the stats because of muh trade, and kidd tinkering with the lineups!" and now it's "Dallas was never a good team and Celtics are lucky it's not Denver."

Dallas' D is fine even in the finals, it's the Celtics' D that's the biggest problem from the Mavs' perspective and the vast difference regarding the role players' quality and play. And yeah, some fans were obviously just waiting to say dumb things about the final and the teams regardless of how it was panning out.

This has been my point as well.

Dallas' game 1 defense wasn't going to cut it but their game 2 defense was enough to be in the game, just got killed by turnovers and missed free throws.

Seems Doncic gets nothing but praise for his offense and killed for his D yet Dallas' defense is solid but their offense hasn't been up to it.

The odds of Dallas making this a series, let alone pulling out a series win are not in their favor, in order for either to happen both Kyrie needs to show up and go off and Tatum needs to continue to shoot horribly.

If both Kyrie and Tatum show up in their scoring, than Boston still very likely wins.

Basically more has to go in the Mavs favor, not impossible, but unlikely at this point.

I kid. I hate this for KP, you know the guy wants nothing more than to be back contributing. But with that being said, they've done well without him. I can see them not wanting to risk it for G3 then reassessing if it goes down 2-1.

He played 20 and 23 minutes in G1 & G2 so it's not as if there is a complete reliance on him, but he's had a notable contribution for sure.
