As much as I don't like Embiid, or that being late consistently is a problem, the 76ers letting this get out represents an even bigger problem.

Honestly I thought it was a bit strange how Embiid kept referring to Maxey as the franchise last season but I think its because subconsciously he knows Maxey is the real leader of the team and he's just a guy who puts up stats(mostly in the rs). Embiid is like an even more talented Dwight tbh.

The Jokic vs. Embiid debate has gone the way of the CP3 vs. Deron Williams debate.

It's funny, if you went on Reddit or Twitter this summer, all the casual fans were convinced that the debate ended when Team USA, with Embiid as its 7th option, beat Jokic and his supporting cast of plumbers and accountants.

I remember getting downvoted into oblivion for suggesting that Embiid was carried to his gold, and even then, Team USA barely escaped against a scrubtastic Serbia team. Jokic getting those bums to compete against a team of all-time greats was the performance of the tournament, not Embiid being a role player on the most stacked team in history. The dude is such a loser he abandoned his country so he could play on the best team in the tournament.

Best players are de facto leaders whether they want it in r not. If you are the 6th best player on the team and care more than your best player you naturally are going to adjust your expectations and effort level. It’s human nature.

You don’t have to be the vocal leader but you absolutely have to lead by example

And as it apparently was leaked by multiple sources, I'm guessing at least part of this "purpose" was that "certain people" want Embiid held accountable. More disturbingly, they decided as a group that leaking this information was their only option to get things done.

Doesn't say much about the control Nurse has in that locker room.

This is not meant to sound hyperbolic, but I would not spend one single positive asset to acquire Embiid in a trade if I were a GM.

His decline reminds me wayyyy too much of Shaq and other big men with his size and stature. Once you hit 30 it’s downhill from there.

However and it’s still early, but it looks as they drafted the #1 player in the draft which technically means they got the #1 pick in a really pivotal time for their franchise so there is some silver lining.

Not that I hate the guy or don’t wish him the absolute best, it’s just reminds me wayyyyy too much of
