Tatum is best player in series but is it crazy to think the Cavs have next 4 best players?

Maybe not crazy but I think it goes Tatum>Spida and then its a hodgepodge of the next 5-6 players but in reality all that really matters is how each player performs in that series. Tatum gets outplayed by Brown sometimes and Garland or Mobley could easily be the best player for the Cavs in a given series. Then the bench players will also factor in.

Maybe not crazy, but probably a minority opinion. Boston might have the best 2 players. A Brown/Mitchell poll would be interesting, tbh.

Donovan Mitchell is absolutely better than Jaylen Brown.

Shoot Donovan Mitchell is better than Jayson Tatum.

Garland and Mobley have to make it. They’re the two most deserving, with Garland being the offense engine of the team and Mobley the defensive backbone. Mitchell is probably deserving. And then Allen is right on the cusp and could go either way, but I hope he makes it.

He's a bonafide all-star, he's stamped and certified.... Then again what do I know, I always felt Allstars should be the best player on your team, the top guy..... Like would garland really deserve it over cade?

Per-36, Garland scores 25.0ppg compared to Cade's 24.5-- the Cavs are just blowing out other teams so badly that Garland plays 5.4 fewer minutes per game.

Garland's true shooting is 63.6% versus Cade's 55.3%. Garland's in the 50/40/90 club-- 50/43/91 as of right now, while Cade is flirting with getting to 50% on twos.

For Cade's extra 1.4 assists per 36, he turns the ball over 1.5 more times than Garland.

Garland is absolutely killing it in the clutch, scoring 1.68 points per possession as the lead ballhandler. (No idea where Cade is, he isn't in the top 10 on the graphic.) https://bsky.app/profile/nbastat.bsky.social/post/3lff5sqrl422e

So yeah, I do have Garland over him, pretty easily.

yeah i figured the numbers could say something different and i'm not discounting that, it's just that my idea isn't really based off that it's too simple i guess......for me cade is doing what he's doing as the top guy....He's the kind of player i feel i could put on any team and he would be just as good if not better....i don't know if garland got it like that.....It's the same way i feel about jalen williams......really good player but how good are you really when you're not benefiting from playing alongside a better player receiving all the attention and the defense is focused on him not you....but like i said, what do i know?

No they shouldn't, the East is way too competitive talent wise and someone a lot more deserving would get snubbed if allen makes it.

Franz 26.5 ppg per 36 mpg, and Paolo 28.7 ppg per 36 mpg. Both should be healthy at the all-star break. Franz is already doing on the court work.

Barring injury, I think the Cavs will get three players in: Mitchell, Garland, and Mobley. Allen could make it if there are any injuries.

Under the same logic, Spurs should get 0 all stars because the Spurs are 10th seed. But who would agree to that?

You don't vote all stars based on teams. Cavs have two players who are all star players, they should get two. You shouldn't reward their 3rd and 4th best players all star nods just because they have a deep bench and good coaching.

Nah. Bulls won 67 games in 1991-92 and had just 2 All Stars, won 72 games in 1995-96 and only had 2 All Stars, won 69 games in 1996-97 and only had 2 All Stars and won 62 games in 1997-98 with just 1 All Star.

Yet in the last 18 years there's been 4 different franchises to get 4 guys voted in.

Banchero is not going to edge out KAT, Giannis, or Tatum as a front court starter. Even if he gets 1,000,000 fan votes. Media aren't voting for him and i doubt players will either.

Coaches would be crazy to vote in a guy who played 6 games.
