If the Cavs are looking to offset Mobley's bump, Okoro will be the one leaving.

Okoro stinks. Nobody will want him unless an asset is attached.

Okoro led the Cavs in on/off plus-minus, and while he's not necessarily driving that number he's also holding his own out there. He's just slowly worked his way to the end of the rotation for an offense-first coach. The thing is, he never forgets to play defense even in that environment, which most of the rest of the team can lose focus on.

Okoro's not making enough money to get us significantly under the 2nd apron. If we offloaded him for no returning salary and let Jerome and Merrill walk, we still wouldn't be far enough under the 2nd apron to fill out the roster with vet minimums.

In other words, there’s no avoiding the second apron. We might as well do everything in our power to keep the current team together. But with that said… losing Jerome will hurt if that in fact happens.

I don't think I've ever seen such a combination of quickness, strength and reaction time. It's all the more impressive that he does it while being relatively short and without a remarkable wingspan.

My issue with Dort is that he gets away with a lot of fouling. I don't know if that impacted voters, but it may have.

Jarret Allen isn’t winning you anything. Garland won’t show up in the playoffs. Mobley is a glorified dunk man. Mitchell has some experience but is a liability on defense. To me, the Cavs are a treadmill team.

The problem with Dort is that he's a great 1v1 defender, but he's neither a team defense monster (mid rim protection, mid numbers in deflections) nor a defensive 'safety' - and to be a DPOTY as perimeter player, you have to be both. That's why his impact numbers aren't as good as his reputation suggests. The same with Daniels, but on the reverse - he has sooooooooo high potential as a disruptor on defense, but his 1v1 defensive splits are below average. Perimeter players combining both are JDub and Amen, among DPOTY candidates, this year.

Mobley is a fine choice, although it could be any of above mentioned, Dray and Zubac, they were all really close in the regular season. I'd rather go with Zubac or Amen, but that's just my preference.

I really don't understand the need to bring wemby into discussion, if he's not eligible.

Let the man get his flowers. Congrats to Evan.
