Oh OK you didn't say that though, nice try. Let me know when you get to the Finals for the first time. And what happened to Kat, where did he go TimberKat?

Man, I wish I shared everyone's 'optimism' regarding the Wolves. Although I think the Wolves have the more rounded and perhaps better team, I am too afraid of the X-factor of Curry, Green's antics and Butlers determination.

Are you actually a Wolves fan? Ant went #1. Wiseman #2.

Do you usually believe what teams say publicly prior to the draft?

Same way they defend Luka. Chase Curry around screens is more of the issue than p&r.

Luka p&r is different than Curry p&r though. Ask the Celtics

Anyway, I have wolves in 7

I feel like people are really misreading the last round in coming to the conclusion that the Wolves should be strong favorites here. The Wolves didn’t win in 5 while the Warriors won in 7 because they were a better team that played better.

The Wolves beat the Lakers in 5 because the Lakers were the worst Western conference playoff team other than Memphis and JJ Redick made terrible coaching decisions letting Minnesota shoot open threes and playing 5 guys the entire second half. The Warriors didn’t get stretched to 7 because they had easily exploitable weaknesses. The Warriors got stretched to 7 because Ime Udoka’s the best coach in the NBA and made incredible strategic adjustments.

The Warriors post Butler trade were a much better team than the Wolves. If they were playing the Lakers with a healthy LeBron I’d expect them to win in 5. If the Wolves were facing the Rockets I’d probably pick the Rockets in a close to toss up series. As is, I feel like Warriors in 6 is the smart pick here and I’d give them about a 65-70% chance to win the series.

You clearly do not know Steve Kerr

Kerr would go small vs prime Wilt.

The last time Jimmy Butler won at the Target center was April 2014. For eleven years he hasn't won there (as opponent).

God, I hope that stat stays the same, but I fear it will be broken.

Wolves have a stout defence much like the Rockets but they’re definitely not as offensively challenged. Multiple dudes that you can throw it to for a bucket.

Ant is going to be full of confidence after dispatching Luka and the King like you said. We’re in for a good one.

Series Odds:

Wolves (1.55) vs Warriors (2.35)

As expected, the Wolves are considerable favorites on this one.

I was honestly surprised. I expected the Warriors to be small favorites and I was still planning on betting them.

Agree. Unlike the Lakers the Warriors actually have some guys who can play defense. Butler, Draymond, GP2.

The Warriors do have a size problem though. In the past small teams have played Gobert off the court though. The matchups, strategy and coaching adjustments are gonna be fascinating to watch.

If the Wolves want any chance of taking OKC in the next round they have to make quick work of the Warriors here. They cannot go against the best team gassed like they were last year. They have the potential to do it, but I'm worried about the mental game and off ball focus by the Wolves.

They have to ignore Draymond antics, Edwards especially and Randle cannot be drawn into a hero ball type situation against Green, he's a much better defender than anything Lakers had for him.

And then in close games you know Steph will get loose in the corner after an Oreb by Looney or something and hit a big shot. Randle, Naz and Ant especially have to be very focused and not lose their men off ball because they're prone to do so.

Initial prediction is Wolves in 5, but they have to win both at home to open the series. If GSW split I think it goes 7. Either way I have the Wolves, but I think it's going to be much closer than the Lakers series.

Already heard from sources this is going game 7

$ilver is not sure who wins yet

He’s undecided if it’s time for Edward’s to shine or if he can milk the warriors another year

Btw Jaden mc won’t be allowed to hand check this series , and will play 15 minutes tops a night
Stop being so disrespectful.

Truly hope Jaden and Randle carry over their level of play from round 1.
