The only "unlocked" part is that he plays now for a team with top-3 media exposure in the league.
His RS stats this year aren't significantly different from his last 3 full seasons with Raptors, same with playoffs number this year vs 21-22.

But seriously, sometimes the 3&D term is used too widely these days. Everyone between a superstar and a total scrub is "3&D".
OG might not have Kawhi's bag (a former 3&D turned into a superstar), but his offense is so much more than waiting for an open 3.
He is also SO good on the defensive end, he would be one of those guys to see minutes even if he was Andre Roberson from 3.

No way you can be called a total scrub if you can play really good defense and hit 3 pt shots.
Defenders who can’t shoot are having a hard time getting minutes or even finding a team.

I agree as well, but feels like everyone these days is 3&D on this website. I mean, Bruce Brown Jr - excellent player, I like him a lot, but he's 33.5% from 3 so far in his career, shooting over 36% just once (to be fair, he was 35.8% while at Nugggets). And I saw plenty of posts calling him 3&D.
Is he a total liability from deep? No, but he is still well below average shooter.
Edit: not saying he is a scrub - vice versa, he is a good player, but not in the 3&D category

he did defend embiid and maxey in last years playoffs. of course not full time. but he made life hell for embiid aswell. im not a huge embiid fan, i wanna be fair tho and also mention, that he played on one leg. but thats neither here or there.

Siakam, OG, Van Vleet and Norm Powell were all on the Raptors championship team that is vastly underrated lol. That was an absolutely elite team.

I'm just glad we aren't hearing how he is overpaid anymore. People get to see how valuable what he does is now for a deep playoff run.

He's in my opinion the best wing defender in the entire league and an above average offensive player at the same time.

It's really hard to find 2 way players, finding one that is elite at one thing and above average at another is even more difficult. Those players tend to get paid.

Bruce Brown is a streaky inconsistent shooter who can’t be called a 3&D shooter and yet cannot be classified as a total scrub imo, Same with Smart, GP2, Derrick Jones Jr. Dunn etc.
