I really REALLY want the Pacers to win this. I think they've just been such an incredible story these playoffs.

But this is giving Celtics/Mavericks finals vibes. The Mavericks were this team of destiny and seemed like they would cap it off by taking down the ultimate juggernaut in the Celtics, even though on paper they were completely outmatched. But unfortunately, they got mopped by the superior squad. And that's what my brain is telling me in this OKC/Pacers matchup. OKC is just as deep, has the youth to keep up with the Pacers pace and are being spearheaded by the MVP. I think OKC will dominate the Pacers in 5.

If SGA got injured in game i would have OKC in 7, without injuries OKC in 4 or 5. Haliburton could cook weak ass east defenses. He faced Bucks, Cavs and Knicks backcourt, 3 probably defensivley limitted backcourts in the PO(alongside Lakers and Nuggets), and now he has to face a thunderstorm. Thunder are just too good defensively. Call me whatever you want, hater, non believer but we will see.

I had the Pacers winning all their series, I had OKC winning all their series, almost all correctly in the amount of games. Only miss was Clippers, Rockets and Celtics over Knicks so 11 out of 14 correct. And the final verdict - Thunder in 5.

I think this is closer than people think. The Pacers have depth, a title winning coach and a title winning player.

Hali vs SGA, I'll call that even. SGA will score more, but Hali will even things out with assists.

Siakam is better than Williams/Chet as the #2 guy.

This basically boils down to can the Pacers offense (ballhandlers) deal with OKC's defensive pressure.

Really will come down to Turner and Siakam taking advantage of the inexperience. OKC is like a bullet train and you have to knock them off step to win. Jokic showed the gameplan.

HCA means a crap ton to thunder though. They are being refered differently at home and it has real impact on their defense and therefore offense too (think all those turnovers into fastbreaks).

OKC is clearly the favorite. Pacers would have to step up their physicality and cohesiveness in some major ways. Obviously though, Carlisle knows that. He is the coach when it comes to keeping the ball safe, he always prioritized keeping the turnovers low. If anybody can do it vs this Thunder team, it would be him.
