This is well reasoned and backs up my preference for GOTE (greatest of their era) over GOAT which, ultimately, is in the eye of the beholder. There are a handful of guys that can be claimed to be the GOAT that I have no problem with. Personally I've got Lebron as second all time in the GOAT discussion, just ahead of Jordan.

Well this isn't much of a surprise. Westbrook comes across as someone who is very honest and blunt, so being around a two faced passive aggressive person like Lebron who will dap you up and sing your praises only to be the first to want to ship your ass off the team must have been hard. Him saying that "Let Russ be Russ" comment to the media is probably what Russ was referring to when he said "Alot of ppl say Let Russ be Russ but they dont actually know what that means". It's also why he had so much beef with KD in the first place because KD said to everyone that he and Russ talked about him leaving OKC and that they were good and Russ was like "Hell nah that didn't happen, I just got a text from that ****".

Jordan was a more intense competitor by a good thousand miles. There's something to be said about the mind and Mike had a much stronger mind than LeBron could ever dream of. LeBron literally has spent years trying to manage how everyone sees him. Mike didn't, and would never, waste his time with that petty ****; he just went to work. He talked plenty of **** but he also let his play talk for itself. He didn't need to do everything LeBron has done to try to prove he's the best; he just knew he was. Everyone agreed too. Bird and Magic will both tell you. He was the most fundamentally sound player ever. No weaknesses. All of those traits embody what it means to be great far, far more than LeBron.
