Jeremy is not bad....he's young and hasn't developed as rapidly as the team's success has.

Hes just not as polished as the other guys and his skill set for what the Spurs needed was not up to par. He struggled making the correct play offensively and defensively this year.

He needs to have more opportunities to play make mistakes and grow but he has to get better in the off season and add a consistent 3pt shot at least.

At only 22 his upside is still there, he has the chance still to be a very good rotational player one day and possibly an elite defender.

Naw he'll stick in the league, he has a skill set which is hustle & defense. That typically sticks

Meh. You can paint it however you want. The whole Spurs organization was going nowhere fast with a series of troubling picks until they lucked into the Wemby pick - which actually gives hope to all the perpetual screw up teams out there that, sometimes, all it takes is one phenomenal pick to wipe the entire slate of sub mediocrity clean.

In other words, you're going to ignore counterpoints you have no argument for and keep doubling down on a proved weak point.

surprised by this. I guess he wanted a new contract and trading teams didn't want to commit to that?

I think his current skillset is niche yet I see him finding a place with the right team. If he could shoot 3's he would be getting paid like Braun lol

hope he ends up like PJ Tucker and figuring it out somehow.

Sochan has played over 200 games in the NBA. We actually know quite a bit about him. He's a defensive specialist whose offensive game simply never developed. Unfortunately for him, that skill set simply isn't worth $9.6 million. Some team is going to get a nice complementary piece down the stretch for League minimum. Beyond that, his career prospects are iffy at best. It's an unforgiving League for a guy with a career slashline of 46.8/28.7/72.3.

We have 10 guards. I would like to look like we are trying to field an actual NBA lineup.

He is 6'8, He can move. His game would be better in an up tempo situation. We might get him to shoot.

Our situation is stress free..

I am talking about my team. No one is accusing your team of anything.

He can defend, run, and has decent positional size. That is something my team needs.

Then go out and get him for the remainder of this season. What kind of contract do you honestly think he warrants beyond that though?

I desire to see if brings anything. Who cares this season for my team is about evaluation.

We have over 80 million in capspace. It time to look.

We need players who fit Sochan physical profile.

Suns were eyeing him before this, but I'm sure he's gone elsewhere by the time we get around to putting in an offer for him. We have a spot available and he could start. Problem is that doing so could potentially stunt the growth of a few others on the team.

It's tough to find a spot in today's NBA when you're truly a one-dimensional player. He needs to develop his shooting. If he puts in serious work, he should eventually be able to knock down open threes at 35%+, provide some value on offense.

Are the Bulls even allowed to sign someone bigger than 6'6?

Thank you. Finally, some constructive feedback. Last year, I remember he had good chemistry with Wendy on the court, but unfortunately, they played him as point guard.
I think this player still had three good seasons with the Spurs. The fact that he's not a good three-point shooter doesn't make him a scrub. It's like three-pointers are all that matter these days.
