this qualifies as one of the silliest trade ideas ive ever seen..
#1 i think tony parker is already better than a 34 yr old Kidd, he just doesn't get the praise he deserves since the spurs have duncan and manu
#2 Parker is only 25 years old..not even in his prime yet, and Kidd is 34 years old. No person in their right mind would ever make that trade..even if you think Kidd is a little better than Parker at this point
Spragga - The greatest trick the Raptors ever pulled was convincing the world that Defense doesn't exist.

tp> kidd

spurs dont want to do anything with kidds contract, and he had his chance to come to the spurs, he made his decision, the rest is history
AJ:"I'm Western Conference," he said. "I'm Popovich. I'm for him, for Texas and for the Spurs."

to backseat mod, I actually think this should of been put on the trade board. But you've goten enough responses on the trade as it is so I concurr with everyone else.

Can someone please explain to me why Kidd gets NO blame for the fact his team has stunk the last 2 seasons? He plays with another superstar and a near-superstar, yet they are 8 games under .500 in a horrid conference? Yet all I hear is well, so-and-so is injured... or well, they have no frontcourt...or it's somehow all Vince Carter's fault

If he's supposed to make his teammates better, why aren't Sean Williams and Josh Boone progressing more rapidly?

And why don't I ever hear anyone talk about Kidd's horrid shooting % or his 4 turnovers per game? All I ever hear is how he gets all these triple doubles.

I'm not saying the Nets' struggles are all Kidd's fault -- clearly, they aren't. But shouldn't he get at least some of the blame?

When you have Vince, nobody will get more blame than him.

i actually wouldnt mind that trade. I think a kidd for AI trade makes sense and then you cant have AI on VC on the same team so might as well get rid of Carter. I miss KMart on the nets anyways even though hes always hurt now.

Kidd has been definitely getting as much blame as everyone else this year from Nets fans, as he should..he's shooting worse than ever, and he's making much worse decisions..his D is still good, but far from it used to be..

last year he didn't deserve any blame though..he carried the team in the playoffs to the 2nd round, and in the games where they beat Cleveland, it was mostly him sparking the team..

he's still a good player that could easily elevate a number of teams, so I don't know why he's getting so much hate here..just because his team has a poor record, it doesn't mean he can't lead a team anymore..if you give him a team with good players that fit his style, he can still get you wins..

I just hope Kidd goes somewhere where he can get a chance to win a ring. I think he would flourish in Denver and Dallas specifically.

I think the Heat are a darkhorse in this thing, everyone talks about Orlando's expiring contracts but Miami could package Jwill, RDavis and/or Zo's deal (for salaries matching only) and add in Daequan Cook or Dorell Wright + a 1st rounder (not in 08 tho) and I think that is as enticing a package as NJ might get.

Riley doesnt want to rebuild, he needs a quick fix and he needs it now while Shaq is finishing out his contract and Wade is gearing up for free agency.

Jason Williams (expiring), Ricky Davis (expiring), Daequan Cook (good young talent) and a future 1st round draft pick or cash considerations doesnt seem far behind what any other team is able to offer.........

Jersey is clearly heading for full scale rebuilding and Kidd's value is going to dwindle by the minute, especially as things get uglier and uglier as the season progresses and they keep losing.

yeah NJ could get better players in a deal for lets say Jet Terry but do they want to take on that contract over the long haul? The only way a deal with Dallas gets done is if they want to take back Dampier or Terry, its the only way salaries work and I dont see NJ thinking those guys are good rebuilding chips with those LONG deals.

the Lakers are another team that have the expiring contract of Kwame Brown and Lamar Odom ( who is a free agent in one year) to package.

Orlando can offer Turkoglu (dont know if they would give him up tho) with the expirings of Arroyo, Dooling and Garrity.

if the Magic wont deal Turkoglu then they are out of the running for him pretty much.

First thought? This will be the 3rd team Kidd's ended his relationship badly with. An ideal team leader? I don't think so.

Also, remember how Kidd got Byron Scott fired. Isn't it funny how Scott's again coaching an elite team while the Nets only went downhill after he left.

Kidd's relationship with the Nets isn't exactly bad... It's not like he's had any serious blowups with Nets management...

It's also important to note that Scott had problems with Kidd, Martin, and Jefferson.

Who should the Nets have gotten rid of, their three best players, or Scott? The answer should be self-evident...

Scott has even acknowledged that he has had to change his ways since being fired by the Nets and that if he could go back he would do things differently...

Not really talking about the current situation, but Kidd definitely has a dark side.
