I guess trades like Jwill, Haslem, Wright, and a pick for Bibby and Thomas were unrealistic Kings fans.
Yeah, wonder how Smills is feeling now.

It's like 100th time somebody said that in this thread.
First the federal government borrowed money; then gave the money to Bank of America; then I borrowed some of that money from Bank of America and gave it to the federal government; then the federal government gave the money back to Bank of America.

6th place puts you against the Magic most likely. Horford trying to guard Dwight Howard will be funny.
I guess you haven't followed that series closely. We have the Magic's number.
Sure as hell would be more competitive than facing the Pistons/Celtics who would probably sweep us.
No way we don't at least take the Magic to 6 games if not win the series.
Dwight Howard is just one player out of 5. I like where we match up on the other 4 positions.

lol @ Atlanta fans saying they will beat the Magic in the playoffs. Regular season is one story; playoffs is something completely different.
If the Hawks can get up to the 5th seed, they might be able to sneak into the second round against the Cavs. SF would be the only position that they would not have the edge in.

Don't know if you've noticed, but the top PGs nowadays are pretty much as good or better as those in the 90's, except obviously Stockton.

5th seed is a long shot...Atlanta is six games back of Toronto with 33 to play (Toronto has 30 remaining), and the Raptors have a very easy schedule. Even if Toronto plays .500 ball for the rest of the season, Atlanta would need to go 23-10 (a winning percentage of .700) to overtake them.
The Hawks are playing for 6th, IMO.

**** your asterisk.

Congratz Hawks fans that Backcourt is gonna be a beauty to watch along with the development of Horford and the D of Smith
im just glad finally somebody of quality is going to the east ...its always the eastern players coming to the West .. if kidd heads out West it might be assured that Bibby will be a all-star next year

I wouldn't of thought that was unrealistic. That kind of trade, specific trade also weren't the consistent proposed deals or rumored deals from fans and in the news.
If they were, I think things would of been different.

It's about a final piece.
Bibby may not be a top 10 PG but is he a top 25 PG?
Possibly.
Tyronn Lue and Anthony Johnson aren't even top 50.
The position has gone from absolute weakness to serviceable.
That's all we could ask for

Im not guaranteeing anything. What's hilarious is the arrogance of Magic fans like they own us and are guaranteed to sweep us or something.
The Magic don't exactly have this all world playoff experience either. Last year was their first trip.
In a game where a team like the Golden State Warriors can shock the Dallas Mavericks, I wouldn't be so arrogant.
I'd much rather face the Magic than the Cavs. The kind of calls Lebron James would get against the Hawks? You kidding me? We couldn't even breathe on him. No way would they let the Cavs lose to the Hawks.

It's not fair to write him off as a bust with the significantly erratic playing time situation he had in Atlanta. As well as the other front-court players that were there, and were already ahead of him when there. And supposedly coaching changes this season effected him, according to a Hawks fan. Specifically the big man coach.
It's also not his fault he was a high lottery pick, in a weak draft. Normally he'd be a mid-late R1 pick.
He'll have an improved, larger oppurtunity with the Kings. There's more favorability now for him to be something, than not.
