I agree. Lamar has always been an x-factor. It's easy to take Kobe for granted because you know what he's going to bring you every night. But when Lamar steps up and plays great, the Lakers are very difficult to beat.

Lamar was a huge difference maker in the series, but it is rare when he's the best player in a game that Kobe plays in. It's happened before, it's just rare.

Yeah you will especially if you come to our board. What's up with all these unwanted guess talking about a series that don't even have a decided team yet.

Don't you maggots have something better to do?..................like worry about your own squad.

It's on Wed. if the schedule doesn't change, so it's one day after the NO/SA game.

I'm glad all the games will be on TNT. :) I hope it will be Kevin Harlan who broadcasts this with Albert as a second choice.

How many hours of difference there is between Eastern and Pacific time?

6:00 Pacific is 8:00 Eastern?? Most Lakers games are at 10:30 ET so I get them at 4:30 in the morning right here in Spain, so it would be great if the games start at 8:00 ET...

Ooh, that's pretty late. 9:00 ET, so it's a 3 hour difference from PT. Happy watching. 8)

Thanks man, at least it's 1'5 hour sooner than most Lakers games. :D

Ariza is recovered for the WCF, right? It would be ugly seeing Peja, Peterson, Manu or Bowen killing us from downtown.

My prediction, LAL vs NOH----> LAL in 6
LAL vs SAS----> That's unpredictable.

GO LAKERSSSS!!!

i'm going to question it because cp3 has been that good too in the playoffs. the realgm rankings even say it, hollinger says it.

if any team is going to knock off the lakers and represent the west, it's us

The Hornets have no one I mean no one to contain Kobe.

Like seriously man who are they expecting to check him , cause from from what I see on your roster Kobe can average 40 on them by just breathing.

See y'all on the 21st , we've already buried 24 we got room for 12 more in the grave yard son.

If we do play New Orleans, all we have to do is follow the example of San Antonio.

-Take CP3's assists away.

-Swarm Peja Stojokavic.

-Pound it inside to our bigs (Get Chandler/West into foul trouble).

-Attack David West especially (he's got a bad back, therefore we attack the weakness without playing dirtyball).

-Duplicate this in New Orleans and we can take this in five.

which is easier said than done. we started 4-5 at home, since then including playoffs we're 32-6 at the NOrena, currently on an 18-1 streak

CP3 might just start scoring and somebody will have to go off of somebody if you want to contain that.

Chandler and West are so underrated on defense it isn't even funny.

That someone you're gonna keep on Peja just means more room for everyone else to move around.

West went off on San Antonio with the bad back in game 5 (before the Horry incident).

If Pargo or Bonzi start playing well, I might get a refund on the game 6 ticket i bought because it will be over by then in the Hornets' favor.

If yall get the Spurs just know they usually get stronger as the playoffs go on.

kobes probably gonna be kobe in the Hornets series but in NO's defense, their team defense is unlike anything the Lakers have seen thus far.

Because the guy said Kobe wins by himself. My point is that if that is the case he wouldn't shoot 26% in the 4th when the team needs him the most. The team needs him, but Gasol and Odom's play speaks for itself.

Gasol = 18.5 ppg and 8.3 rpg, 3bpg on 56% fg in round 2
Odom = 18.2 ppg and 11.7 rpg, 2 bpg on 59% fg in round 2

I think the point to be drawn is wing players can't carry a team in the playoffs. You might be able to ride a dominate big man to a title, but even a fantastic perimiter guy like Kobe still will only go as far as the bigs take him.

Funny how you leave out Kobe's stat lilne tho for the 2nd round...
33.2 pts, 7.2 ast, 7.0 rbs on 49.1% fg.. plus the rediculous amount of FT's he shot and players he drew fouls on
Gasol and Odom are definately playing great, but I would take Kobe's numbers and impact in the game over Gasol's or Odom's..
Not to mention that Kobe pretty much put identical numbers in the first round too! Its called MVP
And a legitamate question.. How many players have averaged 30, 7, 7 in the playoffs? Im trying to look up info for stats I cant find any.. any help?

I searched a few players that I figured could do it, and these are the only ones I came up with:

- Michael Jordan (1 time)
- Oscar Robertson (2 times)

Yeah, that's all you have to do, should be easy to considering how much better LA is than San Antonio defensively.

I think it's equally fair to say that the Hornets have not faced an offense as good as the Lakers, so it works both ways.

Lakers have faced the two of the best offenses in the west this playoffs.
Denver avg 47%fg 35%3pt during the season vs the Lakers they avg 42% and 25% from 3pt. Lakers are no slouches defensively either. But to say the Lakers will be facing a defense they never faced before going against the Hornets is pretty false. Maybe the spurs just have problems scoring as they did during the reg season.
