Jokic with another solid night too. 18/8/5 in 27 minutes.

Wow, that was a great shot. Horrifying ball-handling, but a great shot nonetheless.

At the same time, they're only rookies so you never really know how good these guys can be. A lot of all time greats show themselves to be that right away (LeBron, Shaq, etc.) but then you also have to remember that sometimes it takes a year or two or three for guys to show that (Durant, Harden, etc) and sometimes, although rare, it takes guys 5 or more seasons like Nash or even Steph even though he was good, he only began playing like an all time great at ages 27-28

But I agree that as of now Towns is the only one whose shown it right now.

I thought D'angelo's 39 point game was pretty pretty special. I would think it's a bit early to project KAT as an all time great but ya he is definitely on that path. Probably the most consistent of all the rookies. Question is how long will he stay in Minny?

The guy is starting to get a feel for the speed and quickness of the game, I think next year we'll see him run the PG and get a lot more assists.

Like all max-type rookies, he'll stay with his drafting team for, at a minimum, his rookie deal and first extension. So, he's going to be there for 8-9 years unless MN does something stupid. Plus, he legitimately seems close with Lavine and Wiggins.

Nah, it'll still be Towns but it's close.

For March:
Towns - 22.2 ppg/10.5 rpg/2.5 apg/63.3 TS% in 35.9 mpg
Booker - 21.9 ppg/2.9 rpg/5.2 apg/52.9 TS% in 37.8 mpg

Awesome shot. Very good all-around game, too, from him.

Damn was that arena empty, though.

Myles Turner celebrates his 20th birthday by dropping 24 (11-17), 16, and 3 blocks on the Pelicans. Not too shabby.

There was a massive snowstorm that day that had the city all knotted up.

Plus it's against Philly.

Plus it's the Nuggets. They get very little love in Denver unless they're playing lights out.

Turner had 24 points, 16 rebounds, and 3 blocks on his birthday last night.

Not bad for his first game as a 20 year old.

EDIT: My bad, someone already said it. Well, here are the highlights anyway.

RHJ had a very nice game in the win against Cleveland. 10 points (5/8), 7 rebounds, 3 steals, 2 assists (0 TO) in 17 minutes.

I've grown to like Plumlee on the Blazers, but I'm still so disappointed we traded away RHJ who is a defensive and rebounding animal. He's exactly who I wanted pre-draft and was stoked to see we got him, followed by utter groaning!

Towns with 27/10/5ast on 12 of 21 shooting, made some big shots in the overtimes and played amazing defense on Beal to close it out:

Jeez, that is some awesome defense, Beal couldn't shake him. The kid's a beast.
