So was Cedi the MVP for USA? Fouls Tatum at the end of regulation on a 3 point attempt, then misses 2 free throws at the end of OT.

Mitchell 3/12
Tatum 3/11
Brown 0/3
Lopez 1/5
Barnes 2/6
Kemba 5/14

Not sure what Turkey was doing defensively, but guys were sure out of rhythm. That's 28% shooting on 51 attempts.

So the basic takeaway from this game is that the Celtics young core is only slightly better than Ersan, Furkan and Cedi...right?

And Turkey comes out with the result that both teams eagerly sought after in this one.

Just throwing names out and it's possible they declined but this is poor roster construction for FIBA

Dwight is a scrub, Conley is 2 tiers below Kemba and Noah is French and is a scrub.

That's poor analysis

USA is getting chewed up inside and will continue to get chewed up by strong bigs. Barnes picked up 4 fouls trying to guard bigs in the paint. Dwight would be useful. Half the bigs in FIBA are "scrubs" by NBA standards.

Conley is a good playmaker and defender and shooter. He's perfect for FIBA. He's also clutch and isn't scared of taking shots. He would be infinitely better than Mitchell.

True about Noah

Conley is not two tiers below Kemba either, that's a wild statement.

Also if healthy Howard is at least giving you 10 pts and 10 rebs. that's not a "scrub". People really use that word liberally when talking about NBA players and it's silly af.

Of course. Did you miss his MVP chants at the line?

I just do not believe in Mitchell and Tatum. Is there anywhere you can bet on the field instead of the US? I imagine the odds still arent terrible for it

What a gift Turkey handed to team USA! Not once but few times when it really mattered.

Yeah, a Celtic is only the one to set up the open layup. You're pretty lame this morning.

All jokes aside, everyone outside of Harris ( :D ) and Middleton were horribly inefficient. This box score looks like a disaster.

Was ugly as hell on offense, Tatum included. But his defense was damn good, anyone saying otherwise is being silly.

Hope his ankle is fine, and they learn how to play as team on offense...not exactly holding my breath.

We don't have enough inside to really make up for it defensively. You just have to hope that guys start clicking on offense.

No, Dwight is literally a scrub that no NBA team wants. And Conley already played for the NT and was average at best.

Absolutely, he isn't afraid of the moment, and he has experience. They need a closer.
