Totally hooked on Luka. I feel like I'm Mavs fan, and that's a scary thought.
Here's great analysis of his game and his stats as of now.

When you have 2 top 5 players in the 5 man lineup it is for the majority of the games.

Lakers are not full of scrabs either. Danny Green, Howard, Kuzma, Mc Gee, Avery Bradley, KCP, Caruso and Rondo (when he is healthy) are good to great role players.

No they’re not, they’re fairly common. Duncan, Nash, lebron, Steph. All these repeat MVPs in the 2000s

McGee and Rondo are simply not good role players.

McGee is similar to Robin Lopez while Rondo is worse than all rotation players on the Bucks.

While some of these guys are "nice" role players they aren't legitimate 3rd options on a title contender. When going back the past few seasons, the Lakers 3rd best player is worse than Siakam, Thompson/Green, Love amd Gordon. They are worse than Bledsoe though Lopez has had a slow start to the season thus far [while Dwight has outplayed him].

Ignoring Giannis/LeBron/Middleton/Davis, the next best players are Bledsoe, Howard, Lopez, Hill and Green. I think this year the order is Howard, Hill, Bledsoe, Green and Lopez. The next group of guys is led by Connaughton and Ersan followed by Bradley, Kuzma, Divincenzo, Matthews, KCP and Caruso in some order. Players like Rondo, McGee, Korver, Lopez and Brown really are "end of the bench" so to speak.

We will see how the season plays out but beyond current record [where the Bucks have beat a handful of good teams without their stars] the Bucks will miss out on having a second star. I think that alone could bring Milwaukee down a peg in wins which will hurt Giannis.

I think most people think Giannis is the mvp right now anyway. The problem is the arguments why lebron shouldn’t be considered aren’t good ones.

I agree, but Lebron should not be considered. It shouldnt be because of AD, becuase in a Giannis-less league, i think Lebron is the front runner right now. He's just up against a GOAT type talent having a GOAT like season

This is mainly because the award itself is not well defined. There are always ways to tear down arguments if there is no pre-agreed consensus in what the criteria for an MVP are (and their weight on deciding the award).

That is perfectly fine though. The award serves its purpose, which is to generate content for the league/media.

So far, should go to either Lebron James or Anthony Davis. Two best players in basketball, best record in the league, great in late game situations.

I am not impressed with their wins if you need 41 from Ad 26 ? from Lbj 3 tough 3pts from kouzma and an easy miss by Reddick to win pels then they have a problem .
Maybe its bucks effect (every scrub against us play like Mj) but i think it happens very often

It’s interesting you mention Davis scoring 41. Lebron and the lakers were catering to Davis all night and the lakers were down big. It wasn’t until the fourth where lebron asserted himself on the game and they had a 14 point swing and the win.

Lopez isn’t shooting great to start the year but he’s really important to what the Bucks do on D and is an elite rim protector. No way he’s last of that second tier.

Yeah it’s perfectly reasonable to have Giannis as the MVP leader right now. The issue is that lots of you guys are making terrible First Take-esque arguments for his case.

I don't think Caruso, Rondo, McGee, Kuzma or KCP are good. Are they much better than replacement level? Don't think any except maybe McGee would even crack the Bucks rotation
