Given that Andrew starts off every year amazingly, I would really, really encourage tempering excitement.

I dont think thats the case. He usually isnt that good making threes and in 4 game sample, has been very consistent in high volume and plays like a completely different player almost looks like MIN got robbed.
Getting open looks from D Green and learning better form from Steph, Klay should make his 3% close to 40%.
He already looks comfortable in GSW and all of his shots are not forced despite playing with Gleague players since he plays within the system and not the focal point avging less than 15 shots. At full strength, he should play even better with most pressure taken off as the 4th best player which is every team's dream. If he somehow maintain his 3par and ftr, thats an all star player.

If everything goes well, he might end up even better value than DAR and the pick is a cherry on the top. While MIN looks good as well, they better be competitive otherwise risk losing a top pick.

Agreed small sample size. But he looks different. Playing more within the flow of the offense opposed to "getting my 20" style of play.

No it doesn't erase it. Not at all. It's just that priorities have changed for him.

No longer does he need to carry a franchise. Or be Co carrier for the franchise. He doesn't have the weight of being the number one pick and being expected to be Kobe Bryant lite.

IMO Wiggins needs to play in a system that keeps him moving....both on offense and defense. The Warriors have that freestyle system that has guys on the move, and their best players all share the ball. So the pressure on offense for him, is instantly lessened. Not saying there is no pressure, just different expectations.

They will expect him to improve his team defense and defensive rotations. That will be difficult for him and Draymond will be all over him it he doesn't rotate properly. His individual defense is fine, but that's a matchup thing anyhow.

Not saying Wiggins is q totally rehabilitated player after 4 games. Merely saying that the change of scenery, the role change, and the lowered expectations seem to fit his personality. Not every guy picked at the top is a killer.

Nothing about DLo in this trade, i think. the dubs just wanted a sf, and somehow they decided Wiggins is the one. We'll see how this pans out. Till now his debut is promising, effort on defense, playing within the flow of the offense. But you know what they say:
Every miracle last three days. Too small of a sample, we need to wait and see more.
I'm not mad as it is now. Better have Wiggins than nothing, i don't consider him a net negative.

first, i'm not a wiggins nor dlo fan.
i've been listening to some pods and i was surprised that no one considered that wiggins might be better on a GOOD team, or ie that bad teams tend to bring down performance. they were all high on dlo because kat would be happy,,,is what i heard most often.

the thing that always struck me about gsw was that the role players played great, which is what wiggins would be. wiggins on gsw would be the 4th or 5th player on that team

$31 mil is a lot to play to a 4th-5th option, but it's not my cheese.
The Wolves NEEDED a stable, score first PG for this system. DLo fills that need. Who knows if it succeeds, but our star player is happy.
We didn't really need Wiggins considering he can't shoot the 3 real well. I think you will get a lot of producing out of Wigs,... IF... you find a way to KEEP him focused. He may get you some good value this summer.

It seems hard to believe that Wiggins is going to stick with the warriors, maybe he will. It just seems weird that they ultimately went from KD to Wiggins. I wouldn't be surprised if they packaged Wiggins and pick(s) to get their true final piece.

They went from losing KD for nothing to salvaging KD leaving and ultimately turned that into Andrew Wiggins.

So it was either watch KD walk or plug in Wiggins for Durant.
