Yes, my mistake. Clearly, Harden was completely in the wrong for interfering with the completely innocent motion of St. Ron's elbow.

Never said that. He just clearly didn't elbow him in the temple, which is what you said. Nor did he intend to elbow him in the back of the head.

Nuntius wrote:Guys, MWP was not thinking about hurting Harden when he threw that elbow. In fact, he was not thinking at all.

And that's exactly the problem.

He cannot think when he is pumped up or angry. His thought process completely shuts off. And that's why he is dangerous.

I don't believe that he is a thug or anything. But he has shown times and times in his career that he probably is not sane.

bingo...remember the look in his eyes after the main events of the brawl, when he was being held back by the Indy staff? He looked like the scariest person I had ever seen. The sad fact is, he is a ticking timebomb, it doesn't matter if years go by between serious incidents. All it takes is one elbow or punch to potentially injure a guy for good.

Let me ask you a question then.

Do you think that Metta World Peace is sane?

Because I seriously doubt that.

Sane compared to the rest of the NBA players? No. Sane compared to a legitimate crazy person, in an asylum or out. Yes

Ron Artest is an idiot. With his history and the fact Harden has a concussion, he'll get a long suspension for this.

My point is, yeah it was an overreaction from Artest but its not the end of the world. So many fake tough guys in the league and its nice to see one get put away once in a while

So Harden trash talking Kobe warrants him getting put in his place by way of a viscious elbow to the head?

So you'd be perfectly fine with someone lunging at Bynum's knee with intent to injure, for example? After all, it's apparently "nice to see fake tough guys get put away once in a while" in your world.

i wouldnt be delighted but yeah if someone had beef with Bynum then yeah they can punch him if they want.

He needs to come clean or I think Stern is going to come down even harder on him. It's obvious he meant to elbow him. I don't think he meant to hit him in the head though. When harden slid under his arm it caused his elbow to go up toward the head. denying he was trying to elbow the guy is a joke.

You're right and Ron is in that 99.9% who don't intentionally knock out an opposing player with a concussion. He's a person that will elbow you to get you off of him however. Especially when you make the Hulk angry

There was clearly an intent to injure there. If you don't see that, you're in denial. Artest has total anger problems that he has proven unable to rein in over and over again.

I don't think that he should be locked in an asylum but I also don't think that he should be put in a competitive environment any more.

He isn't a mildly crazy but harmless person. He is dangerous. Both to himself and the rest of the players.

An intent to injure (give him a concussion)? You sound like your Clippers commentators now. Not a good thing.
