He's coming for the trophy.

As I said, we need a new poll at this point. Steph has dropped out of the top 4.

He's got a shot if he plays enough, especially if a trade for help is made.

If Giannis gets first seed he’s going win it over Joel

Giannis
Jokic
Embiid

Is my guess. Think Durant will tire. Curry's needs a hot streak.

Voter fatigue might be a thing though.

Maybe that was a thing last year but I doubt that this year it will be. If Giannis keeps this level of play which I think he will and the bucks get healthy this team can make it back to the finals.

If two players are close, it usually comes down to team record. Hence if Giannis wants to beat Durant, the Bucks will need a better record and hope to not to lose games to teams like the Pistons. They’ve played Orlando 4 times, NO twice and the Pistons 3 times and once again OKC and HOU. Not a whole lot of freebies left on their schedule.

The Lakers would be the worst team in the league without LeBron, but y’all don’t want to hear they tho

Nugs without Joker are much worse than a Lakers team that still has an MVP on the team even if Lebron is not there.

Bucks have also beaten BKN both times they've played so far, at home and away. Don't think Bucks are too worried about 'freebies' if they believe that they are a championship team this year. The opponent doesn't matter so much to the Bucks, just trying to get a healthy squad together for the playoffs will be the focus.

It will also say something about how well the MVP contenders play against fellow playoff teams, rather than beating up on 'freebie' teams, and that type of play does not go unnoticed.

Jokic and Giannis had monster nights. Durant is a complete joke as an MVP candidate. I'd put LeBron over him easily.

Embiid too. I feel like he'll be in the top 3 (at the expense of KD) sooner rather than later.

Giannis got his in just under 27 minutes on the court as well.

I think Giannis will win. Building quite the legacy already at age 27.

Giannis is pretty incredible, and that finals run was amazing. However, let's not forget how easily they could have lost that ECF to the Nets. No hate on Giannis though, dude is a once in a lifetime talent, and I'm sure he'll win even more MVPs and titles.

But they didn't. You could apply that to any team that wins with a buzzer-beater, or something else on the final minute of play etc. It happens a lot.

But in this case it didn't happen, and if KD's foot was back an inch, who's not to say the shot rims out? I am getting tired of this argument being used constantly to point out how 'lucky' we were to win, as if we came from nowhere, and haven't been the dominant team over the RS of the previous two years, and put it together in the playoffs in the third year.

The shot didn't rim out lol. It went in, he wears shoes one size bigger. His foot was actually behind the line. I agree overall with what you're saying though.

Jokic with strong FG%, 3P%, PTS, REBS, ASTS, BLKS, STLS, and TOS tonight against a woefully under-equipped Kings team. His only blemish was 4-8 from the free throw line. He also played all five positions on offense and added another pass to his collection of potential career highlights.

Got to say, I miss the formula.
