Willy was 10th in efficiency in entire Eurobasket, only player from top 4 teams. Schroder was 11th, Gobert 17th, Brown 19th (tied with Sabonis)

Spain deserved to win and ... Congratulations Mr Scariolo!! The real MVP. You give him 11 best spanish guys available, he choose really well the 12d with L Brown, and even if this team was not made with great players (except Rudy), he won with very good coaching.

France is very good (definitely better than 'us' on paper), which makes the Spanish win even more significant. You have to feel sorry for Collet at this point though...

"The guy you really hate as a rival but love in your team, almost as a guilty pleasure". His farewell as captain was as classy as it gets though, and well deserved imo. Quite a loyal/reckless soldier since he was scaring the hell out of Lebron (and Wade) with his late threes at Beijing´s (2008).

*I don´t really mind about HOF BS or any accolades further from the already achieved ones. Borderline Spanish legend in the least, and well praised by Scariolo through this tournament.

NONE of the Spanish players is the star in their teams. Some of them can't even get decent minutes. One of our guys plays in Japan, for **** sake.

SEVEN players made their debut in this championship. The only remaining player from the golden years is 37.

And we still won. Like I said before, I am a bit embarrassed about Lorenzo Brown playing for us, but it doesn't make it less amazing. Scariolo is such a great coach, I'm happy especially for him and Rudy, what a career.

Yeah people are upset about Brown and I get it, but he's not an NBA level player, Juancho is hanging onto the league by a thread, Willy is like an ok backup center in the NBA, Garuba is a prospect. Even with Brown they don't have near the top end talent a few other teams did. Hats off to them

Anyway, I called it a week ago. After they beat Lithuania the tournament was kind of over imo. That was the adversity they needed. The final ended up being one of the easiest games they played.

I already said it on Sunday, imo Spain has a clear path to gold.

They aint winning against Germany if Germany wins against Greece.

Germany will win gold it seems.

Oh and it was awesome that so many NBA players showed up in the end. Gallo's injury was the only significant injury of the entire tournament. Still SUCKS that he got hurt.
