Pay attention to the scheme. They have Caruso fronting Jokic to force the pass over-the-top. Then they have 2 Thunder players ready to steal that pass cause they are leaving Watson and Westbrook wide open

Modern NBA has always allowed tons of contact on post ups. You don't get calls especially on smaller defenders. Giannis/Embiid etc deal with the same. Anytime he faces up he gets calls, he just can't/doesn't want to.

Denver is in a position to steal this game. But they're also playing Jokic Murray and Braun heavy minutes. Right now 41-42 minute pace for the game. But they will likely play much more in 2nd half.

They have to play Jokic all 48. They fall apart as soon as he sits and they can't afford it. Keeping him fresh for the 4th isn't going to matter if they're down by 15 by then.
