Rivers slapped him in the head, possible concussion. Still don't know yet though.

In preseason he was alarmingly passive. He'd get the ball and would rarely look to attack. The few times he decided to attack, he labored trying to get past his man.

He had a breakaway layup rejected from behind by Jared Cunningham. On defense he let E'Twaun Moore get past him a few times for layups. E'Twaun Moore, the guy who can barely dribble the ball.

He had a rough preseason. He did injure his left foot early in preseason, so maybe that had something to do with it?

Or maybe he just needs time, like most rookies.

He took an elbow/forearm to his temple by Rivers. Had concussion like symptoms so they sat his ass down.

I guess the Rivers pick is so bad it's even messing up the first pick.

^^^the fact that you call Mcgee a quality center (which he actually is in this day and age) means this is a pathetic period for centers.

I think you are refering to me.

I did not put McGee in the quality center section. I put him in the section of young C's that have the potential to become quality C's if they improve.

I do not have any idea how you can look at that list, and think this is a pathetic period for centers.

Really? i looked at that list and I still think that. That only serious argument you can make is that it's drastically changed on the inside, and the results have been very negative on the centers, and by extension have hurt the inside players and their impact. And I think thats a petty weak argument

Who's making that argument? My argument is pretty clear. That there is simply a lot of good centers in the league right now, and some pretty good prospects that could turn into good C's as well.

7-8 years ago you had a couple good C's at the top (Decining Shaq, Yao), but after that it was really mediocre. Dalembert, Dampier, Nestarovic, Eddie Curry, Kristic, etc... were some pretty flawed players, yet near the top of the C position because it was so shallow, and getting some fat contracts because of it.

How many of these guys would you take Dampier, Dalembert, Nestarovic, Kristic, and Curry over?

Dwight Howard
Andrew Bynum
Marc Gasol
Roy Hibbert
Al Jefferson
Al Horford
Greg Monroe
Demarcus Cousins
Tyson Chanlder
Tim Duncan (he's a C imo)
Nene
Brook Lopez
Emeka Okafor
Marcin Gortat
Joakim Noah
Andrew Bogut
Deandre Jordan

Center is making a come back, compared to where it was, but there is still a lack of elite top end talent among that group.

Today is a golden age for pg's and pf's. In fact, a number of those guys are actually PF's that are forced into playing C.

1. Lillard looks like he can steal ROY (which many of us have predicted)
2. Rivers, Ross and Waiters look like the busts of the top 10 (2 were expected, Rivers was suspected lol)
3. TRob and MKG look like they may struggle but we'll see if their hustle can overcome that
4. Davis is looking good as expected
5. Drummond looks like the steal of the draft (thanks Colangelo for reinforcing what an idiot you are)
6. Valanciunas seems he might be worthy of the hype Chad Ford gave him

How has Waiters looked like a bust so far? 17 points first game, 7 points second game? Yup he's a bust, send him to the D-league.
