Edwards’ 17 second half points saved US.

I’d give Cam Johnson minutes over Ingram. He has been pathetic.

no idea why he needed to appease Ingram

Probably just don't want any tension on the team. Might even be better to just send Ingram home. In the end they managed to get him minutes and still win. I doubt Camron Good Teammate Johnson will complain about playing zero minutes.
So many people who attain the heights of power in this culture—celebrities, for instance—have to make a show of false humility and modesty, as if they got as far as they did by accident and not by ego or ambition.

One size fits all coaching.

Getting killed on the offensive glass and refusing to go with more size at the 4. Easiest way to shut that off is to play Kessler and Jackson together, but the obsession with being small overrides common sense.

That and Edwards not playing the smartest basketball, to say the least.

Kerr kind of did the kid a disservice talking out the side of his mouth saying "he's unquestionably the guy" now Ant is trying to prove that even more....when all he has to do is just play basketball and make the right play....more times than not he's just doing too much....and USA just got to live going through his hot and cold play....I like his effort on defense though but they need to get a handle on his shot selection because i can see him shooting the team into a deficit and against the better teams that may not be to USA's advantage

Ingram stinks, how bad would it be if he didn't see minutes the rest of the way?

Canada should be the favorites to win the whole tournament.

One thing about Fiba basketball i like for sure better than the NBA....I like the level of physicality or should i say the refs let them play WAY MORE....i feel like the refs aren't trying to insert themselves into this game like they do in the NBA.....NBA should take some notes at least in this regard

I don’t have an issue with Anthony Edwards taking control.

Sometimes a loaded team can be too unselfish and just pass for the sake of it.

He has also proven to be one of the very few to be able to just grab the ball and get a bucket, either from a three or a drive.

The team needed that in the second half. I’m not sure where a lot of those 17pts come from if you remove Edwards from the equation.

sometimes he seems to force to unnecessarily. it’s not like the team is devoid of talent where if he just makes the simple pass it won’t pay off because his teammates won’t hit shots

Spain shooting 22% from 3 in the first half, which is somehow better than what Latvia is shooting from the three

Just let play Haliburton more and US is not even in a situation where they need that.

With Italy beating Serbia and there is a chance Italy or even Dom. Republic finishing 1st in the group, so in US group it might be even better to finish 2nd.

Yeah it is way more physical for sure. Defenders can't so much as sniff the guy and gets called for a foul in NBA. NBA tweaked the game for offense. To feature skill and offensive players. It's a bit too much on that side of the ball right now.

Lull looks really old out there. Seeing him trying to guard Zagars is hillarious.

NBA regular season is just basically there for gambling purposes. Silver knows it. Silver angled so hard for gambling to be legalized. Now it's overboard with how much it's just for maximizing stats in the reg season.

edit: I mean that's when the players actually decide they want to play. Then it's all just for maximizing stats.

Spain is making a run. Rudy with shot clock buzzer 3.

Rudy Fernandez is washed. Really fun player to watched in his younger days.

Ok so the commentator is Jeff Taylor of ESPN.

Claims to have been commentating basketball since 97.

Doesn’t know the rules.

Reeves missed a three last game then a layup and after the layup said ‘that’s his first miss all game’

Called JJJ ‘Jermaine Jackson’ in the first game.

Today he called JJJ ‘Williams’. Twice!

How does someone so incompetent get paid to do this job?
