Thank You Thunder for trading your primary playmaker on the team. You have just destroyed your team chemistry!

Yet he played better than any other PG last year's playoffs (including Rose unfortunately who would have been the other best :( )

Westbrook is awesome. It's only a matter of time before people start admitting how good he actually is. Proven playoff performers are the only players welcome to the "best" discussion in my book. He's one of very few.

that's why trading away Harden makes no sense. Westbrook pretty much swapped roles with Harden when they played because Harden was so good at creating and penetrating while Westbrook was a deadly scorer. nobody's saying Westbrooks sucks, relax.

my opinion? Thunder won this deal....and thats not even considering Lamb pans out...

What if lamb pans out? Scary team.

If Lamb pans out they might be as good a team as were last season in about 2 years.

Then in 2 more years they can trade away Lamb when they cant afford to extend him

ok now it feels like you all are just overrating James Harden. Lets not forget who the real deputies in this city really are. They'll miss Harden, but they won't suffer without him.

OKC would have been in CAP nightmare for years with 3 max players and Ibaka.

Great defensive anchors like Ibaka (with potential) are hard to fine... they want to keep that. Harden was awesome, but OKC as a small market has to pull moves like this to keep contending for years to come.

Draft/Trade.... and with Lamb and how ever many draft picks they got alongside Martin, that's 1 guaranteed and then you'd think that the chances of one other player being very good are quite high (assuming these are lotto picks)

It's about as good as they can do, and they didn't let him walk.
:o LeBron is 0-7 in game winning/tying FGs in the finals. And is 20/116 or 17% in game winning/tying FGs in the 4th/OT for his career. That's historically bad :o

The team will 100% suffer without Harden

Martin has always had the green light not to share the ball w/ the Kings and Rockets. We will see how this works.
Lakers are 22-3 in OT last 6 seasons:Kobe best OT closer!

Just because he came off the bench doesn't mean he wasn't incredibly important to that team.

And a very strong case can be made that Harden was the 2nd best player for the Thunder, and that he was their best offensive player.

+1. I was really suprised they got the Toronto pick tbh...i thought theyd just give the Dallas pick and maybe another sweetner added to lamb (Royce White/Montajuinas)

If the Thunder didn't overpay for Serge Ibaka they could have kept Harden. What a weird trade! This is insane!

The Rockets have already added him to their roster on their website, but he's still on OKC's team page  .. Guess they can't let him go..

Yeah, I definitely think picking Ibaka over Harden was a mistake.

You could see this coming a mile away.. A small market team with Durant and Westbrook on big contracts and Harden needing one definitely did not need to give Ibaka that type of contract.. Its like they shot themselves in the foot.. Or shot their load too early.. Whichever makes more sense..

I agree with you that he was very important to them, but saying he might of been their best offensive player is a stretch. I would say he was their 2nd best offensive player. Westbrook is a inefficient, turnover prone chucker. Harden was their best passer and scored at a very good rate. I think this was very bad for them in trading Harden but I understand that they would of been in trouble financially for years had they re-signed him with no room to move.

It looks like Harden is one of the more polarizing players on here.

The people saying the Thunder won the deal or got a good deal are the ones who don't think too highly of Harden such as myself.

The people saying the Thunder lost the deal and are no longer contenders are the ones that think Harden is a superstar, future superstar, or as good as Durant.

A poll would be good right now.
