Latvia is insane. They need Canada to beat Spain and will advance to 1/4, crazy.

Settling in for the Boomers vs Slovenia.

Weird rumour that Giddey is going to get the defensive job on Luka. If that's true, I would use Patty Mills opponent to set screens if I was them, and drag Green to.the weakside corner.

Oh well...almost game time.
Excited for this one, must win for us!!

I'll be at this game on Sunday.

Next game Canada vs. Brazil, I smell another lopsided win for Canada.

This Latvian team is amazing. The way they move the ball and play as a unit is wholesome. First time I saw them play was the other day vs my team (Canada) and I was surprised at how good they played. I'm certainly a fan!

There was a play where Zagars threw a wild pass while Spain was up at the start of the 3rd Q, Bertans looked at him and told him to calm down gently rather than be frustrated, he hasn't played well in the 1st 3 games, but his vet presence is helping the team.

I don’t think I’ve seen other key injured players do the same.

Hes not alone. Hes with our starting PG who tore his meniscus.

LET'S GOOOO! Another great game by Latvia. Rodi Kurucs played almost the entire 2nd half, what a monster tournament by him. Kristers Zoriks with 2 threes at the right moment, Davis Bertans found his shot as well. Next up - Brazil.

The one thing that makes me nervous is how much we have left in the tank, as we are playing with basically a 7-8 man rotation.

I think he really wanted to play. Has basically always played when he was available, but availability/health have just not bee there for him.

Too bad Lorenzo Brown wasn't there to drop 28 for Spain.

That makes no sense with Green, Thybulle and even Exum on the team. Giddey is also our highest usage offensive player so would be really dumb to put him on Luka

Yes, he does look so so much better because of Luka, but he is still fine elsewhere, they wouldnt else naturalized him if he was absolute nobody. On Barca he just was who he was, 3/4 th. Center in rotation, and he didnt suck in that role, Barca was just super stacked.

Prepelic tho, is just completely different player, he is simply great for Slovenia, and flat out sucks for everyone else these days.

Sent from my SM-A520F using RealGM mobile app

Tobey in Barca was 6/3 and in his whole Euroleague career is 8/4 with 9 Eff, which is pretty pedestrian. In NT he's 13/8 with 19 Eff. He's, like Prepelic, totally different player in NT. Tobey's decision to join Slovenian NT made him a lot of money.

Slovenia has far worse roster this year, odds for Australia look pretty fair. Luka needs to have almost perfect game for Slovenia to win and we know that Australia will throw everything on him + others will need to hit those open shots, which is not exactly given.

Like Mirotic12 said, Euroleague top level is way higher than most of these teams, RHJ''s stats would be like 4 times worse in Euroleague and he would still be good and same guy, but Jordan, just like Slovenia, doesnt have many guys at all really. Like we want to think of Slovenia as good team, but outside Luka, this team is honestly garbage, best guys are borderline Euroleague level these days if that. So, I do think Tobey is still TObey, of course Luka creates sh*t ton more for him, but the crucial difference that Euroleague squads are more competitive than Slovenian squad.

Like look at my Lithuanian team, Jokubaitis is balling, and in Barca he is just role player. It is same with NBA guys like Shroeder or Patty, NBA is on another level entirely, but the idea is the same.

You don't need to complicate too much. Prepelic finished in Real and Tobey in Barca because of Luka. ;)

Aus 7.5 point favourites from what I’m looking at.

Slovenia is 3-0 vs Australia 2-1, but Group F was a joke.

Especially since Luka will be drawing fouls.

Don’t want your starting point guard in foul trouble.

If Gorjian does this he needs to be fired.

Especially with Thybulle being a defense specialist. Both he and Green are listed as 6'5" and commentator just said they wanted to go with size with Giddey who has about three inches on them. But size is weight too and to that end Luka can body Giddy. Nice talent on talent match up though.
