Great doc but man there's so many geezers in it that it's hard to stomach sometimes :sour:

Old age gets us all in the end I guess.

Really looking forward to the moments of Game 7 against Indiana as well. One of three times I thought the Bulls were actually going to lose a series. They should not have won that game, yet Michael and Pip just weren't ready to give it up yet. Those images at the end of the game will be remembered forever, them being too tired to even celebrate. It tells you everything about the dynasty as well. It's not what you do to win it, it's what you do to keep it.

Well I'm sure most of his past victims got their kicks watching MJ getting a taste of his own medicine during his wizards years.

MJ was cringey and even comical with the Wiz

He was absolutely delusional his first year but seemed more in touch with reality and dare i say even humble during his second year.
Kobe was merciless when he humiliated him in their last encounter.

I remember that series. I wish it was on league pass archives. Probably their toughest title of the 6.

Just curious, which are the other 2 series you thought they'd lose.

With MJ on the team? Orlando in '95 and New York in '93.

The Pippen incident and Phil kicking Jordan out of practice really showed how good Phil was in handling the egos of his players. Most coaches would have caved in to their superstars.

Also BJ Armstrong is 52. Dude has not aged in 30 years!

Yes, you can clearly see how great of a coach he was. It's like he came out of a Greek legend as that ''old but fearsome'' character that is given respect no matter what.

And BJ Armstrong was older when he was younger, he's fresh!

The one time he actually had to rethink himself was when he came back to the Lakers in 2005-06 and ended up coaching younger guys for the first time. It took him a while to realize that he couldn't afford to give those guys days off and the level of freedom he's used to giving the Bulls and three peat Lakers. He said he was running practice more frequently than he was used to.

Magic.. sure. Penny deserved that series as a tribute to the man's talent and Harper played out of his mind trying to get one back on Mike. But, I wasn't sweating against the '93 Knicks.. maybe I was too young to understand it all at the time.

The '98 Jazz was the tougher series for me, cos the Bulls were mentally breaking up. No chemistry, cohesion or joy. I thought that was the forced championship, they had the minimum margin for error in. It was tedious to watch, iso Mike basketball. The rest of the Bulls cast would so often be frozen out and hot potato the ball in the late 3rd/4th, but they still made crucial shots from time to time.. phew..(James Harden probably got inspired by the wrong Jordan playoff run..  )

It was 6 games and Bulls were the clear odds on favourite, but, I don't know if they still win it if any one tiniest thing goes wrong - so much as a minor injury to a no. 9/10 role player or a couple of shots getting rimmed out in that 6th game, derail this one and the 6/6. I was constipated at the very thought of a game 7 after Stockton's 3, as Jazz would've had all the momentum after coming back from 3-1 deficit. And the final steal and the shot (SPOILER ALERT) just summarized Mike's career so well -

What's crazy about the Magic is that we remember Penny as a great PG but he couldn't even get the ball up the court against the Bulls in the 96 playoffs, it was crazy. Mark Price and John Stockton gave the Bulls more trouble as PG's.

1997 playoffs round 1 game 2, Jordan 55 points on damn near all mid range jumpers. I don't want to hear this nonsense about Lebron being a better shooter

I was watching the game the summer after my senior year of college (was getting ready to move off campus for my first job) and I'll never forget it.

I thought we were screwed when Stockton hit that three..... however, once MJ got the quick layup I was back to about 50/50.

After MJ stole the ball? I was like almost 100% sure we would win.... and what I will never forget is that you could tell every single Jazz fan was feeling the same way when you saw them on TV.

Somehow everyone just knew that shot was going in.

Look at the faces in the crowd while the ball was in the air:

Just to say
Today Netflix reported that "The last dance" has already become their most viewed serie ever in Italy, even ahead of Stranger Things or Money Heist / La casa de papel .
